He's the one who sent them. He's sacrificed freedom from that burden. I'm sure sleep doesn't come easy... I doubt I could handle the sheer weight of that responsibility, even for 'the greater good'... [:/]

you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?

We've just surpassed 2000 dead American soldiers in Iraq.

Pretty soon we'll have killed off more Americans than died on 9/11. No wonder there haven't been anymore terrorist attacks in the US. We send them over to the middle east and make it easier for them.

it cost the other side more than 19, though.

but overall, yeah, let's bail on Iraq. We can use the soldiers and the money for more productive causes.

that's the desired end game of revolutionaries. Is the only response to that to keep banging our heads against the wall? At some point, you have to reevaluate what you're getting out of it. I thought we got our objectives when we captured Saddam and toppled his government.

We can't fight the battle for the Iraqis - if they want to let minority factions push them around, their loss. And if they're actually the minority, then we don't have a chance anyhow.

That's funny. I actually laughed.

I like Gravitymaster's points very much though.
So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh
Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright
'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life
Make light!

***Woohooo...positive results in Iraq! Guess what, liberals are glad about that. But we don't think it was worth it, we don't like being lied to by our "public servants" and we don't like the growing body count. Why is that so hard to understand?

This may come as a shock to you.........

but political conservatives dont like the growing body count or the political "games" either:o

Personally,I believe too many families have sacrificed too much for an outcome that may or may not achieve the desired result........ a stable democratic Iraq..........But,to pack up and leave now is not the right thing to do either........

Well, here we agree. Where we separate again is that I think the guy who got us to this point is incompetent and if not stopped would do the same thing (or worse) again.

Are you suggesting liberals are the only ones who don't like the growing body count?

It's hard to understand that liberals are happy about positive results in Iraq because of the constant belittling of any good news. Your post being an example. It's always..yeah....BUT...... Please show me a single thread in the last year, started by a liberal, who's topic was about anything positive related to the accomplishments in Iraq.

Your statistics are pretty meaningless without accurate "before the invasion" figures. How much of what you claim is simply rebuilding what the "war on terror" destroyed?

Fixing what we broke is not overall progress for Iraq.

Second example.

Sorry...but if you tell me you have a check for me for $1,000,000, only catch is, it's the life insurance policy from my spouses death, I'm not going to be dancing in the street. It's the same thing. I may not be able to find anyone opposed to the war singing about the good things. Maybe that's because they are so overshadowed by the bad.

Nope...I'm saying conservatives are responsible for it.
