Guest #1 November 2, 2005 Venezuela's nutjob "El Presidente", Hugo Chavez, is now saying Really Stupid Things (tm), like threatening to transfer his country's US-Made F-16 fighter jets to Cuba or China... What a dipshit. ."The mouse does not know life until it is in the mouth of the cat."
ReBirth 0 #2 November 2, 2005 The dumbest part is he's offering them to Cuba and China to "study the technology". I seriously doubt there's anything classified on them still. At least not on the models that we sell to dictators. So, ummm...why DO we continue to sell military equipment to dictatorial regimes. Still boggles the mind. Guest #3 November 2, 2005 There is a great deal of advanced technology in those planes. Even the export versions contain valuable know-how, which is why there are restrictions. Duplicating it is another matter. Cuba can't do it, but China certainly can. mh ."The mouse does not know life until it is in the mouth of the cat." What a dipshit. . According to the article, he is threataning to replace them with Soviet or Chinese-built a/c. Maybe he should be talking to Don Kirlin to see what he could get on a trade-in. Seems that you missed the portion of the news where it states that these planes were sold in the 80's, and also the part where he is actually threatining to do this because now he can get replacement parts.....
