beowulf 1 #251 December 19, 2005 There is a lot different. One is just nasty the other is not. I generally would not watch either one. But much less likely to watch a gay love story movie. It's just sick. Hey if you don't like my opinion, So What.
narcimund 0 #252 December 19, 2005 QuoteYou don't mean screwing in public, do you? That's not sarcasm. I'm serious. No, I don't mean "screwing in public". I mean doing the same public things heterosexuals do in public. Here's a short list of the militant things the homosexual ninja are after: holding hands and kissing outdoors smiling at each other, whispering personal things, and otherwise acting like lovers saying "my husband", "my wife", etc without it sidelining the conversation having joyful religious and civil ceremonies seeing other obvious couples similar to themselves in public seeing movies with themes and characters they identify with and, for some, lobbying their elected officials for things important to their lives I could have added "... just like heterosexuals do every single day" to the end of each item. billvon 2,991 #255 December 19, 2005 Reminds me of that disgusting movie "Drop Zone." Personally, i can't envision myself jumping out of an airplane, much less 'swooping' under a parachute. I'm sorry, IMO it's suicidal and the human body was not even designed to function that way. God created man in his own image, and created Adam and Eve with FEET (not wings) and then told them to go forth (WALKING, not flying) and populate the earth. Thus the old adage: "God created Adam and Eve, NOT Adam and Eliana." Hey, if skydivers want to kill themselves, cool, i just don't want to be subjected to it in any press reports anywhere at anytime, and I don't want to see it at my local airport or in the movies. The same way i don't broadcast how much walking I do. This movie is a definite slap in the face to "WHUFFOS." I can't tell you how let down i felt when i found out Patrick Swayze was a skydiver. I guess now that women have burned their bras and make more $$$ than men do and blacks have the same, if not more rights than caucasians do, is now just "Prime Time" for skydivers to make noise? Gimme a break.

Casurf1978 0 #259 December 19, 2005 Bottom line is Americans cant handle talking about sex in a civilized way. Hell look at the Jackson breast scandal. All hell broke lose when one of her tits came out of the dress, yet we are OK with violence on TV. I remember one incident on live TV here in LA when a man torched his car with a dog inside. It was shown on all the major channels. Sex, pleasure call it whatever you want, I just dont see whats the big deal about it. If two guys, or girls want to go at it, go right ahead. What right do I have to judge them. IMO the people who get all bent out of shape regarding sex are the ones who aren't getting any.
airtwardo 7 #260 December 19, 2005 QuoteI really couldn't care what people do in the privacy of their own bedrooms - just get it out of my face, that's all I ask. *** Yeah...me too! And if that little swish ever comes back to my house, trying to sell butt plugs door to door... I'm really gonna give him a piece of my mind! What do you mean by in your face? Where do you draw the line as to what's unacceptable...will you go by the societies opinion of what's unacceptable behaviour, or continue to be offended because someone cross 'your' line? To me...that's what defines someone as being intolerant...demanding that other conform to what they see as right and just, and not allowing for fellow humans to exist on THEIR own terms. Not directed at you Mark, but I often wonder what it is within us that makes us 'fear / hate' people different than ourselves. Is it instinct or learned behaviour? For me anyway, I find that I have so many other issues of greater importance to continuing the chosen direction of MY life, that I perhaps selfishly give little thought to who's kissing whom, and why. I don't know....maybe I missed a couple downloads when they programed me. ~ If you choke a Smurf, what color does it turn? ~
miked10270 0 #261 December 19, 2005 For all RIGHT-THINKING men, there is a FUNDAMENTAL bottom line (excuse the pun) to the whole question of Homosexuality! For those of us who "Prefer to Pot The Pink", homosexuals fall into 3 fairly distinct sub-groups, ALL of whom are completely tolerable within our HETEROSEXUAL lifestyle. Viz: 1; Homosexual Men= This group don't want women and thus leave more of the "Soft-&-Squidgy-Sex" for the rest of us to play with! 2; Lesbians (Ugly)= This group look like blokes and are plug-ugly. They don't want to play with us and WE SURE AS HELL DON'T WANNA PLAY WIFF THEM!! 3; Lesbians (beautiful)= This group make loads of internet porn which we watch & enjoy so much that some folk have been known to pay good money for it! Having identified these 3 groups, I fully support them in their choice of sexuality, as I'm sure most other folk do. Mike. Edited to add: The only thing I really CAN'T EFFIN' STAND is intolerance! Unfortunately, my "Intolerance intolerance" tends to force an existential dichotomy with my refusal to self-loathe! Taking the piss out of the FrenchAmericans since before it was fashionable. kelpdiver 2 #266 December 19, 2005 Quote When it's getting in my face, to a point where I can no longer escape it, it becomes my business. What exactly are the queers of Washington doing? I live in San Francisco, pink capital of the universe, and I'm struggling to think of what in the face behavior I've seen. Or anything beyond guys holding hands. And mind you, I'm straight enough to be very annoyed by the gay guys that mislabel their alt.binaries postings to get me to see their hairy ass. If guys were doing each other on Castro, it would bother me. But based on my last 5 years living within city limits, it's quite obvious that you have to go looking for that sort of thing. You're not going to be subjected to it without volunteering.

You can legislate tolerance all you want, to the point where people can be put in prison for criticizing your lifestyle (as in the UK), but-- "You can't legislate morality", and the corollary -- "You can't legislate it away, either", and -- "You can't legislate human nature", only criminalize certain aspects of it, ala "hate crimes" (read - "Thought Crimes"), where it simply isn't enough to punish people for their actions, they must be punished for what they think as well. Guest #275 December 19, 2005 Call me a prude, but I think most of your list falls into that category. Like I keep saying, I couldn't care less what people choose to do in private, but I personally think such public displays are in poor taste for any stripe. I had a middle-aged queer classmate last year who *deliberately* did his best to try to make the rest of us (all straight males) uncomfortable by going on and on about his live-in lover and the rest of his wonderful gay lifestyle. Once he realized he couldn't shock us (this is Seattle after all), he eventually stopped acting out and started just being himself. We liked him a lot more after that. Were we intolerant of him because we didn't give him satisfaction by being scandalized by his gay antics? mh"The mouse does not know life until it is in the mouth of the cat."
