Brokeback mountain...

I don't have it in for gay men either, I just don't fancy sitting for two hours watching a story about Gay cowboys. I also didn't go and see the horse wisperer, smootchy sentimental slushy films about cowboys don't interest me.

I'm not a homophobe but..I'm still not going to see this film as it doesn't sound like a film I'd like to watch. I'm not a homophobe but I have just finished reading 'Tamburlaine must die' I'm not a homophobe but I am a witness at my sisters gay wedding in a couple of weeks. It must be terrible to be so all knowing as you, imagine never being suprised. I guess us hetrosexual men are not the only ones good at stereotyping.

What you read and what you watch doesn't have much to do with anything. And being a witness at your sister's wedding doesn't have much to do with anything either.

When you say things like "What heterosexual man would?" and then continue on with the comments you made in your second post, it gives rise to the idea that underneath all the enlightenment you attribute to yourself, there's at least a little denial goin' on.

But I've been wrong before.

Good for you. I would be willing to bet that plenty of people are going just to "prove" how liberal they are.

That kind of flick doesn't hold much appear for me either--sounds like a chick flick.

I'm waiting for that Johnny Knoxville flick where he acts like a retard.

Boy you've got a really twisted view of people and the world lady. I stand by what I said, I have no issue with people being gay, I'm not a homophobe (try looking up the meaning of the word before you use it). I don't want to watch men snogging even if it has got a good story line. It doesn't interest me and although I defend peoples rights to live as they want to I personaly don't want to watch acts of sexual congress between men. As for the denial aspect, :D:D:D rest assured I'm man enough to be very comfortable and confident in my sexuality.

Discredited. I am totally discredited. :(

I just go back to your first and second replies in the thread (posts 541 and 542, respectively). I think they speak volumes. In addition, I find your attempt to discredit prostate stimulation as a means to pleasure (erroneously and without any kind of documentation) especially interesting.

I'm pretty sure I didn't cast aspersions on your sexuality at all, so I don't know where that last line came from. But as to the discussion of homophobia, your comments bring Gertrude to mind. (Hamlet Act 3 Scene 2.)

If you were me and I were you, I think I would have skipped all the self-justification and laid claim to being bored on Christmas Eve.

But that's probably just my twistedness coming to the fore again.

Undoubtedly you've read extensivly on the subject, though I doubt Cosmo and Womans Own really hold much in the way of standing when it comes to evidence.:D

That myth about the Prostate is just that, following discussions with neurologists and a couple of Urologists they all came to the conclusion that it has the wrong kind of nervous supply for the whole pleasure trip. Anyone getting off on that is just buying into the myth and any pleasure derived is psychological.

There's a long history of straight men announcing 'scientific' evidence that women don't have the right nerve endings to get pleasure, can't have orgasms, and in general just don't get anything from sex.

Now we're seeing an echo of the same directed against gay men.

Anybody have an explanation for what drives these guys to concoct myths in which the only sexual pleasure is theirs and theirs alone? Why is it so abhorent to them to think anyone else enjoys something they can't?

Someone close to me had prostate cancer. In my reading on the subject, I came across a factoid or two.

I don't know anything about Womans Own, but I I'm surprised that a committed heterosexual male would sneer at the incredible impact Helen Gurley Brown had on the expression of female sexuality.

I take it you prefer 50s-style sex?

Also You might add this benefit for those that are Federal Govt. Employees.

One of their survivors benefits is a tax free passage of their Thrift Savings Plan to their spouse.

In a gay relationship or with the transfer of this fund to another survivor, their is a 10% TAX penalty.

Do you think your a virgin? Have you had another mans penis up you anis? Condem or not. It just pleasure. Sex is only between a man and a woman. You can change it around, try to misconstru it all you want. Having a relationship with the same gender, condem or not is still not having sex.

If the NYPD shoved their batton up yours would you consider yourself a virgin? Unless I'm mistaken a woman has a small piece of skin that prevents fluids from passing through. I can not remember the name of this membran, but I believe I remember it from Biology in highschool. Did you go to highschool?
-----------------------------------------------------------
So if I've always used birth control (condoms or the pill), does that mean I'm still a virgin because I've never had 'sex?' <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
-----------------------------------------------------
Your just trying to bait me! Did you ejaculate in that condem? Freak! What did the female hormones from taking birth control pills do to the hair on your sexuality? Maybe thats why your gay!

Are you for real??? :S

I haven't read the whole thread yet (halfway through) but I think this is the funniest post so far.
Good thinking about the bait though ("you're just trying to bait me!") - I was afraid you might fall into the trap.
oops, you actually fell for it in your next post... :D

I think there is a trend in homophobic (and/or racist) persons being mostly uneducated ones. Unfortunately some very intelligent people surf on that trend too - though I haven't seen one post here yet...:P

PS: I am not at all attracted to the idea of having sex^^^ (oops what was it you said instead? "pleasure") with someone of the same gender as me. But I am intolerant with intolerant people >:( (yup, I hate myself too).

PPS: Excuse my english but this is not my 1st language. I just hope i did less typos than you did: "anis"&"condem" LMAO...

<<thinking deeply...>> It occurs to me that I am a product of 50s-style sex...

Me too.

It fully explains why I have such a twisted view of the people and the world. :|

Can't talk for you of course, but other women don't have a prostate so I don't see what HGB has to do with anything. :P

She was the force behind Cosmo. And Cosmo was one of the forces behind the so-called "sexual revolution." It's not likely that women would be where they are today sexually if it were not for Cosmo.

The point is, it is not always wise to sneer at a cultural icon...which is what you did in your feeble attempt to sneer at me.

But as you will have noted from another post I made, Cosmo is not the source of my knowledge of the prostate.

That had to be the slowest movie I ever watched in my life. I thought it would never end, and then I think I either turned the video off or went to sleep

Trivia Quiz: What was the name of the last Robert Redford movie to be shot in focus and without vaseline on the lense?

I'm thinking maybe Sneakers in '92.

Spy Game at least is way more recent than that.
