First off, Jamie Lee Curtis has never confirmed being born intersex. It's an internet rumor that apparently can't be traced back to any reliable source. (snopes).

Second, the male cheerleaders/drill team guys at my high school got way more dates than some of the football players. They were gymnasts who joined the squad to meet girls. It worked. Same reason about ten guys ended up in my college ballet class. All but two ended up hooking up with one of the female dancers at some point. You wouldn't want to deny that little kid a great way to meet chicks, would you?

Interesting attempt. But although the girls do look prettier in skirts the boys don't look prettier in shorts, they just look like fags jumping around.
If we could take a break for reality one second, then we can realize male role is not to look pretty. This is the reason why 99% of the football team is male and not tying to look pretty. Meanwhile 99% of the squad is female and spending a great deal of time at the beauty salon.

Internet rumour, (hmm) maybe. Since neither one of us was there, we really don't know. However, since she has NOT denied it, I suspect it to be true. For that matter, how hard is it to have a DNA test to confirm that you are really and XX chromosome. I think she can afford to do it, and if its affecting her status, why not nip the rumour in the bud. Also there are other factors to add to that. She is tall like a man and we can't forget that movie Blue Steel. By then she was already famous and successful, it wasn't like she needed an acting role badly. The movie even sucked. No, I would venture to guess that the making of that movie had more to do with a confused intersex mind. But I am the first to admit that I don't know for sure.

I never knew anybody alleged, I was born intersexed. But for the record, I am not. If I was rich and had rumours like this floating around about me, I wouldn't hesitate to give someone in a DNA lab a couple of hairs and have it analyzed to show that I have XY chromosomes. But I guess that is just what I would do.

But I guess since the probability of something like that is so miniscule and I don't have any scars from what appears to be any reconstructive surgery. That's even more rare than having Klinefelters, and a blood test will generally NOT detect chimeras (since you will generally see only one genotype in blood.) My only point is that you not getting tested does not suggest that you are any of those things.

My son was on the gymnastics team at HS, and they did the same thing. He got a bunch of dates that way. Also won the State Championship. He's now a sergeant in the 82nd Airborne, in case anyone wants to argue with him about his masculinity.

XYY syndrome males inherit an extra Y chromosome--their genotype is XYY. As adults, these "super-males" are usually tall (above 6 feet) and generally appear and act normal. However, they produce high levels of testosterone. During adolescence, they often are slender, have severe facial acne, and are poorly coordinated. They are usually fertile and lead ordinary lives as adults. Many, if not most, are unaware that they have a chromosomal abnormality. The frequency of XYY syndrome is not certain due to statistical differences between different studies. It may be as common as 1 in 900 male births to as rare as 1 in 1500 or even 1 in 2,000.

Early studies of XYY syndrome done in European prisons initially led to the erroneous conclusion that these men were genetically predisposed to antisocial, aggressive behavior, below average intelligence, and homosexuality. Contributing to the early view that XYY syndrome men have serious personality disorders was the case of Richard Speck. In 1966, he coldly murdered 8 nurses in a Chicago dormitory. At his trial, his lawyer claimed that he was innocent due to uncontrollable urges caused by his XYY genotype. This novel appeal was akin to claiming insanity or severely diminished mental competence.
