You don't find Republican leadership really espousing and approving of the comments of Pat Robertson. He's pretty far out there, and is getting worse in his descent into madness.

The Dems are pretty tight with the Teacher's Union, as well as oher unions. NOW, NAACP, all will vote strictly Democrat. The Democrats really cater to a very broad sector of ideologies.

I have recently spent a great deal of my radio listeing time listening to Pacifica Radio. It's a self-described radical radio station. I used to listen to a lot of right-wing radio, but it just bored me. I thought that they were too performance based.

On the other hand, I hear sheer hatred coming from the guests on this radio station. I mean HATRED. Fear-mongering and pandering in the same way other groups do. "Matthew Makepeace," who was the organizer and key speaker at a rally yesterday to get GWB to abdicate, was shocking in his hatred and vitriol.

Not all people who don't live in San Francisco, New York or New England are rednecks, folks. Corporations are not the reason why you can't find a easy, high-paying career with your Master's degree in English. George Bush and Sam Alito are not the devil (stricken due to reference to judeo-christian religion) incarnate. And, above all, people of color who disagree with you are not sell-outs. And Hillary Clinton is not treated like a slave to the Bush administration.

I think that my thinking is consistent with the thinking of many others. While I have never voted Democrat or Republican for President, I find myself far more distrustful of Democrats than Republicans. Kind of in the same way that I have more distrust the great white shark circling my surfboard more than the mako.

Nope, they did in fact lose in 2000. It was essentially a dead heat, but with the processes we have in place, Bush won fairly. Had it been on the other foot, the Democrats wouldn't be apologizing for winning. Of course, Nader was one of many factors that got him there that had nothing to do with a better message or ideology.
