Don't need to do that, liberal can refer to many things. For instance a liberal dictionary author is one who doesn't have a problem redefining a word. When I refer to "liberals" in this context. I am referring to all koolaid drinkers, who act a parrots to the Democrat talking points in the U.S.

my point exactly. The definition of "liberal" gets twisted any which way to the point where it has no objective meaning.
Incidentally, by the REAL meaning of liberal: The liberals were the ones in FAVOR of civil rights during the 60s. That's why they're called "liberals"
The conservative democrats were the ones who wanted to keep the Jim Crow system going. So to distinguish themselves from those liberals the Southern conservative Democrats became the "Dixie-crats".
Incidentally, by the REAL meaning of liberal: The liberals were the ones in FAVOR of civil rights during the 60s. That's why they're called "liberals"

Steel's stereotype is a pretty popular one, though. Maybe if we admit that one exists and is valid for a narrow band of people, then we can also admit the ultra conservative stereotype is also just as unfair except for an equally narrow band of people. People that are normally full of sense and just lean one way or the other a bit really hate that generalization.
Because of the stereotypes, I don't want to be call "liberal" or "conservative" - and I don't want to cling to one fantasy definition and sit around all day showing people the dictionary and explaining why the accepted stereotype is wrong.
Of course that would eliminate a quarter of the posts on this board.

I think you're confused. Conservatives, by definition, are those who hold to tradition and who most often oppose change. Liberals, on the other hand, by definition, tend to favor reform.

I think he's talking about not "liberals" but the Democratic party of today who take for granted the black vote and, therefore, is conservative, in that they don't want any change in the status quo.
