Am I the only one that still likes Bush? (The President)

You might find some people who agree with you over here. Or are you banned from there, too? :|

You do realize the "post something in Bonfire that will definitely get moved to Speaker's Corner because I'm banned from Speaker's Corner" thing has been done before?

Just in case you thought you were blazing some new trail here....

36% approval rating.. Holy shit!

I think he might lose the next election................. :S

Um anyone read the constitution lately?

He cant be re-elected anyway this is his second term. Which is a good thing.

Sorry do not stand behind him, have not stood behind him since day one.

The thing that kills me is that people who supported him are no bailing.

What did they think was going to happen when we went to war? You can just quit when you feel like it?

Sheesh. Its pretty normal for a second term guy to have a lower rating...And even more so for a Prez during a war that lasts more than a week.

Was that true for either of the last 2 guys? Heroes to their party.

And for those who think the next election is in 2008, look closer. It's only 8 months away, and things could be wildly different as a result. Or exactly the same.

Well, over and above everything else, that certainly qualifies him to be Pres. I should have voted for him.

I'm perturbed at some things he's done, but am still very glad I voted for him. The alternative was despicable.
:S

So refresshing to see middle ground on Bush. I find people either idolize or hate him with no in-between. The ones who like him refuse to see any fault, and the ones who hate him refuse to give him credit for anything.

I, for one, do not idolize him. I think is it more of a case of specific topics or issues debated. I think he was correct going into Iraq. I think more and more evidence (as in the released documents and tapes) show he was a threat to the US. If the Iraq general is to be believed then the WMDs were moved to Syria and other contries.

On the domestic front. I don't like his or the congres's spending, the federization of the airport security and medicare drug programs were major FUBARS as far as I am concerned.

My point? Arguments are around disagreements. Some of the issues both sides agree on....

Most people, right or wrong, base these types of decisions on only one instance/stance/agenda/belief.

Funny how one can disregard accomplishments (and failures) on the one hand while applauding others.

I like to razz those who vote strictly by political party...as though no other party member has anything valid to offer.

The Yippies in 1968 nominated a pig (Pigasus the Immortal) for the office of president. Straight party voters would have voted for the pig.
