NWFlyer 2 #4 April 8, 2006 You do realize the "post something in Bonfire that will definitely get moved to Speaker's Corner because I'm banned from Speaker's Corner" thing has been done before? Ron 10 #14 April 8, 2006 The thing that kills me is that people who supported him are no bailing. What did they think was going to happen when we went to war? You can just quit when you feel like it? Sheesh. Its pretty normal for a second term guy to have a lower rating...And even more so for a Prez during a war that lasts more than a week."No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers,

kelpdiver 2 #16 April 8, 2006 Quote Sheesh. Its pretty normal for a second term guy to have a lower rating... Was that true for either of the last 2 guys? Heroes to their party. And for those who think the next election is in 2008, look closer. It's only 8 months away, and things could be wildly different as a result. Or exactly the same. Richards I, for one, do not idolize him. I think is it more of a case of specific topics or issues debated. I think he was correct going into Iraq. I think more and more evidence (as in the released documents and tapes) show he was a threat to the US. If the Iraq general is to be believed then the WMDs were moved to Syria and other contries. On the domestic front. I don't like his or the congres's spending, the federization of the airport security and medicare drug programs were major FUBARS as far as I am concerned. My point? Arguments are around disagreements. Some of the issues both sides agree on...."America will never be destroyed from the outside, if we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves." popsjumper 2 #25 April 8, 2006 Most people, right or wrong, base these types of decisions on only one instance/stance/agenda/belief. Funny how one can disregard accomplishments (and failures) on the one hand while applauding others. I like to razz those who vote strictly by political party...as though no other party member has anything valid to offer. The Yippies in 1968 nominated a pig (Pigasus the Immortal) for the office of president. Straight party voters would have voted for the pig.My reality and yours are quite different.
