my drive to work yesterday seemed shorter. my work garbage can was promptly emptied at 4:30pm. i went to the produce store, there were plenty of people stocking fruit and working the cash registers. when i got home, my grass was freshly cut (i have an association).

no negative impact for me.

It impacted my food!

The restaurant I went to for lunch was closed because they didn't get their delivery. The place I went to for dinner only had about 1/3 of their menu because they didn't get their delivery either.

There's not many immigrant workers where I live, so there was no affect here. I felt myself getting angry though, watching this on the tube. So, it did affect how I felt.....Steve1

I know we only live a few miles apart, but I spent most of the day out and driving through many suburbs.

Traffic was better and I noticed nothing different, except a few mexican restaurants were closed and a carniciera or two.

OH, i went out for lunch too. the mostly hispanic staff was happy to prepare and deliver my food. they even cleaned up my table afterwards.

I ate a gyro. They even gave us coupons for another one free sometime in the near future.

went to whl mart and for the first time everyone spoke english and there were no kids running aroung..it was great

The local ER waiting room was empty

outher than that did not see any change..this in an area of 36,000 illegal aliens in a county of 85,000

There's quite a hispanic contigent in my local population, and apparently yesterday they all stayed "on their side of town." I didn't notice anything different.

Oh yeah I remeber watching the news and they said something about it.
I am not anti imigrant, just use the proper channels to come into my country, and at least make the attempt to assimilate into the society.

Didnt notice a damn thing. The 2 guys I work with that are Mexican showed up for work and even the mexicans who work on the ramp showed up. Nobody I know skipped work.
