QuoteQuoteI say jail him for life.
Fair enough. Human decency says we have to provide shelter from elements (not luxury), adequate nutricious food (not tasty or even a variety).
Put him in solitary in a room that is body temperature, white light, no windows or contact with other humans. No reading or TV or internet. He can spend his remaining years eating the same bland meal (some type of nutrition paste like baby food) with as much water as he requires. He can spend those years in silence staring at 4 white walls and hearing nothing.

I don't care if he suffers or not. The point is to remove him from society so he doesn't try anything like this again.
I like the blank white room because, if we can't kill him, then we should do the bare minimum to hold him as well as that necessary to keep him from communicating anything harmful to the outside world. Who says he needs light for that matter?

He didn’t commit a crime he knew about a crime right? How can someone get Life or the death plenty for knowing about a crime? An accomplice is someone who helps with the crime not some one who has knowledge of a crime.
So does this mean if I see someone selling drugs on the street and don’t do anything about it I could get the same sentence as the drug dealer? WOW I guess we don’t need cops any more

That is unfortunate. He has all his basic health needs taken care of. If medical attention is required he can get it. There is no need for him to have contact with other people, nor is there need for him to read or see the news. He has no use for further learning. We are certainly not obliged to provide entertainment or esthetics to his environment.

He is not being charged with being aware of the crime after the fact. He was aware that this horrible crime was going to happen well in advance. Knowing this he kept silent and allowed people to be slaughtered for the crime of being "infidels". His silence made it possible for the others to carry out the act. That makes him complicit and therefore guilty.

yes, yes it is:
ALEXANDRIA, Virginia (CNN) -- Al Qaeda terrorist Zacarias Moussaoui should spend the rest of his life in prison for his role in the September 11, 2001, attacks on the United States, a federal jury decided Wednesday.
enjoy the rest of your life mr. moussaoui. looks like it'll be long and dull:
There are no bars in Moussaoui's solitary-confinement cell. It is just a small room with a steel toilet, steel sink, and a concrete platform with a mattress. The only view is through the food slot or tiny window in the door. There is no television and no radio. Moussaoui spends 22 hours every day in a cell that is normally reserved for prisoners who are being punished. (He leaves his cell for showering and exercising, which account for the other two hours in a day.)

QuoteNo need to manufacture another martyr
Here is the thing though. Hi speople will thkn he is a martyr, but we know live in a world taht's is a little more advanced thatn thinking there is virgins in heaven waiting for you if you kill yourself in the name of God. This is no longer the 1500's. So even if they think he is a martyr, so what? We know better than that...and we wouldnt have to waste any money on keeping this religion-brainwashed, psychologically fuct person alive.

A great many people believe there is a saint at the gate to heaven waiting to welcome you inside if you believe in the right guy. So the belief is common, even if the details differ.

I love the mental image of this term, "Go goat, Go!" Hey Pop, we've been calling it a scapegoat since about 400 AD.

You couldn't get this any more wrong if you tried.
