lawrocket 3 #2 May 17, 2006 And a "No Shit, Sherlock" poll at that. Republicans are dooming themselves right now. The Dems will probably retake at least one chamber of Congress. I look forward to it. The problem with the Dems, however, is that voters aren't exactly keen on them, either. They just may view them as the lesses of two evils - the Bush v Kerry factor. My wife is hotter than your wife. tcnelson 1 #5 May 17, 2006 it's like a wave function. we put the gop in power for 8 years and the grass is greener with the dems so, we put them in power for 8 years and then it's back to the gop. the switching back and forth proves at least one point though: politicians suck and they're not interested in what's best for the country; they're interested in their power and retaining it at all costs."Don't talk to me like that assface...I don't work for you yet." - Fletch NBFT, Deseoso Rodriguez RB#1329

It's not just a grass greener scenario. The longer a party is in power, the more corrupt it seems to get - people get too comfortable with their position of authority and increasingly abuse it, telling us what we want. IE - Gore and gun control, one of several factors that tipped him from winner to loser. Now the Democratic party shys away from the subject.

In the meantime, the grass just gets browner and browner and browner, and the old schoolers only want to talk about which party 'browns' the grass slower. Methinks it's just too much fertilizer and not enough rain. ...
