The anti-gun folks have taken two more hard shots to the success of their gun-ban agenda recently:

1) Federal Law Negates D.C.'s Suit Against Gunmakers

"A lawsuit in the District against gunmakers was dismissed yesterday by a D.C. Superior Court judge who ruled that the suit was precisely the sort of claim that a new federal law was intended to block. The suit, filed by the city and by victims of gun violence and their families, aimed to hold gun manufacturers liable for the flow of firearms into the District and for the carnage created by the sale of illegal weapons."

2) New Law Results in California Judge Dismissing Lawsuit Against Firearm Manufacturers

"Citing the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act that blocks unwarranted lawsuits against firearms manufacturers, Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Charles W. Stoll today ruled from the bench ordering complete dismissal of all causes of action against defendants Beretta, Smith & Wesson, Colt and Turners Outdoor Sports, a California firearms dealer, in a case involving the gang murder of a Burbank police officer."

Maybe they'll get the hint now: Gun manufacturers are not responsbile for the criminal misuse of their legally marketed products.
