Skyrad 0 #26 July 21, 2006 QuoteNot caring which way you wipe. LMAO Sure but is that really the only diffference that you think there is between men and women? Do you think that women want men to be just the same as them except without the differences that you mentioned? When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Richards 0 #27 July 21, 2006 QuoteAs opposed to being a woman: Having external genitals. Having to go into the bathroom marked "Gents." Needing half the underwear. Not caring which way you wipe. That ball can kill Blaaa... the most dangerous part of cricket is getting your pint smashed by that ball. Maybe you've never had one coming at your head at 100mph. A cricket ball is harder and heavier than a baseball. Remi's used to balls coming at his head. Far faster than 100mph Love ya Remi. Go watch the swoop comp this weekend. Wish I was there. narcimund 0 #29 July 22, 2006 QuoteQuoteNow I've got it! Being a real man means beating up helpless people. Only if that helpless person keeps running their fucking mouth. I was responding to Royd who said he wanted to stop and beat up a random stranger he passed on the side of the road. What on earth are YOU talking about? billvon 3,073 #30 July 22, 2006 >Do you think that women want men to be just the same as them . . . ?? Definitely not. Do you know any MEN who want to be just the same as any other man? I don't know too many. Women and men have a lot of biological differences, some of which are expressed in behavior. (Like the nesting instinct, or the manifestation of sex drive.) But the similiarities are far, far greater than the differences when it comes to what sort of person someone is. I know women who I am more "like" than some men. I suspect most people have a similar view. To me, the differences in the choices people make in education, worldview, morals, lifestyle, avocation, hobby etc are far more important than what sex they are. To reply to your original post more directly: >To me it means having integrity, respect for yourself and others. It >means upholding what are sometimes unfashionable values such as >honour and chivilry. Being truthful and not bending your values to peer >preasure, friendship, honesty, courage and loyalty. It means not being a >dog but being faithful. To me, these are qualities of people, not men. Chivalry is expressed by both sexes, despite its original sex-oriented meaning. You see it when a man helps a woman put her bag in the overhead, or when a young woman gives up her seat on a train for an older man, or when someone volunteers at an old folks home. Red_Skydiver 0 #31 July 22, 2006 What does being a man mean to me? It doesn't mean anything to be honest... apart from the obvious dangly bits between the legs I don't see a differance between men and women.
