Merkur 1 #26 August 10, 2006 In the German news up to now they are just talking about "liquid explosives" - no mentioning of any particular kind. Nearly all flights from continental Europe to UK are cancelled for today. From London, only flights with a duration of over 3 hours are departing. No hand luggage allowed except for flight tickets, passports, glasses (without cover). even flight attendants and pilots have to follow this rule. The only liquids allowed on board is baby food if tested by parents in front of the security personal. M.vSCR No.94 Don't dream your life - live your dream! It's a thinly veiled plot by the Newcastle-Curry-Houses to mainitain their dominance of the "Explosive-Vindaloo-Market". Incidentally, you keep mis-spelling Phony-Tony's surname; The rule is: "i before a when you see his teeth". So, basically it's "i" before "a" ALL the time! Incidentally, the "B" is silent. Mike. Where did you see that, Randy? Nitroglycerin is generally unsuitable as a practical explosive - too unpredictable and unstable. were these guys actually serious, or are they like the bunch of losers that was "plotting" to blow the Sears Tower? I heard nitroglycerin on the news also. I also heard each terrorist might have been carrying a different ingredient and they would be combined once airborne; like in the toilet. Would it be possile to carry separate ingredients to make nitroglycerin?Do your part for global warming: ban beans and hold all popcorn farts.
Remster 30 #36 August 10, 2006 QuoteWould it be possile to carry separate ingredients to make nitroglycerin? It requires time and a bathtub full of ice. EDIT: and I really doubt they would use NG. In a non stabalized form, its very sensitive. Would be very difficult to transport.Remster

Most likely they won't comment or will come up with the normal bullshit reason why they weren't really wrong or how it's not exactly what they meant or how it still doesn't justify listening for keywords. I'll bet those people who were ready to board those planes are happy the plot was foiled by the NSA info.
