Post ban to beat boredom

A crackdown on the posting of pointless posts about guns laws in the UK has been launched as part of a campaign to tackle boredom and frustration. Moderator Billvon announced laws to ban such posts unless posted for legitimate reasons. Members making such posts will need a licence. The measures are the latest steps from Dropzone.com executives to curb the problem of pointless posts about guns laws in the UK.

They come weeks after a nationwide post amnesty. A Total of 12,645 pointless posts, including ones on such topics as, “England: "Homicides Soar", “Scotland to Ban Swords”, England: "Rise in Muggings", “England: Gun Registration”, “England to ban Knifes”, “America: An Exceptional Nation” and “Gun-o-Phobes Take Another Hit” were all deleted during the five-week amnesty.

Exemptions to the ban on pointless posts include posts that are to be used for intelligent debate, information, picture displays, freeflying, swooping and even Video and Photography.

Mr Billvon said: “pointless post are all to prevalent in some Internet communities, particularly in North America/United States/Texas, and has cut short and scared too many young posters. “In these areas police, doctors, law-abiding citizens and even Christians have been bored by these posts about UK gun Laws.
"It is simply far too easy at present for these posts to be posted and read."

Other parts of the plan doubled the maximum ban for posting such dribble to 4 years, gave moderators the unconditional power to delete someone they suspect of making such a post and increased the minimum age for making a pointless about guns to 150.

Nice humour. Spoilt at the end.

You have an "edit post" facility.

The problem with attempting to control such Large-Bore or "Assault-Posts" is that you will only restrict those law abiding post owners who use their posts responsibly.

Any reckless or unlawful element may simply resort to obtaining fake IDs in order to obtain such posts, and from there, they will be uncontrolled. It can be argued that such posters are actually safer if they remain in the mainstream community where they can be tracked & monitored.

Don't get me wrong... I am in favour of Post-Control, and strict restrictions on Full-Bore posts with a rapid repeat rate. I further believe that the "magazine-capacity" of such posts should be severely limited between "Intelligence-Reloads". Post size should also be restricted to, say... 3 inches long, since longer posts are more likely to be used offensively.

As such, some form of registration & licensing system should be in force, and these posts should only be made available to those who demonstrate an ability to use them responsibly and entertainingly.

Mike.

PS: Hey..! We could do the same with guns & knives & swords!!!:D

I'm a post-whore, and I'm proud of it!!

SSSSHHHHHH! We don't want to bring attention to whores. That is a legitamate occupation which provides a service to the community. It should not be discussed in the topic of bans. (But, should post-whores be tested on a regular basis for diseases? Maybe we should debate that one.)

But back to the original ban discussion.

Which government will establish the criteria on these bans? Or will it be a UN decision? And do all countries have to abide?

Or is it just whatever HH decides?

Edit to add Be Quiet
