councilman24 37 #1 August 17, 2017 100' diameter cargo canopy? Not enough lines it deploy at the moment. We did cascade enough line to inflate it tied off to a tree. It got just off the ground before lines started popping. Can't afford line to reline it.I'm old for my age. Terry Urban D-8631 FAA DPRE
TheBlob 0 #2 August 18, 2017 Take it to the upwind side of a large empty field on a windy day. Tie it to a sheet of plywood, with a cut-away system. Pile people on the plywood and RIDE! Please wear goggles and helmets...

TheBlob 0 #4 August 18, 2017 Heck, you don't need many to just use it to pull a sled.
councilman24 37 #5 August 18, 2017 When we didninflate it we had it tied off to an 80' tree. And a tractor with a line to the apex so we could deflate it. We laid it out flat and had 8 or 9 people on adjacent radial seams. Just the light breeze with it FLAT almost tore it out of our hand, just flopping in the breeze. I may have to put 8 or so lines on it and go for a ride.I'm old for my age. Terry Urban D-8631 FAA DPRE
wolfriverjoe 1,523 #6 August 18, 2017 How many lines does it have?"There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit." Lucky McSwervy "~ya don't GET old by being weak & stupid!" - Airtwardo
councilman24 37 #7 August 18, 2017 The story was that it was liberated from a desert somewhere and the lines just chopped and hacked to get it picked up. Have seen it out for 20 years but some lines were just a foot or two and some were almost full length. We cascaded some of the short ones, added a few longer pieces and got enough to inflate it. Just as it got off the ground the lines started going ting....., ting... ting ting ting and they kept braking until it deflated. So essentially it has bits and pieces but no complete lines.I'm old for my age. Terry Urban D-8631 FAA DPRE
wolfriverjoe 1,523 #8 August 18, 2017 Ok, let me re-phrase that: How many lines should it have?"There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit." Lucky McSwervy "~ya don't GET old by being weak & stupid!" - Airtwardo
Sincy78 1 #9 August 18, 2017 Sounds like a G-11 should have 112 lines.
councilman24 37 #10 August 18, 2017 I think 120 cascaded into 12 risers cascaded into three attachments. http://parachutemanuals.tpub.com/TM-10-1670-280-23P/css/TM-10-1670-280-23P_22.htmI'm old for my age. Terry Urban D-8631 FAA DPRE
Sincy78 1 #11 August 21, 2017 120 is correct for a G-11. I was wrong with my answer, I was thinking of a different parachute.
