RiggerLee 61 #1 August 29, 2017 I just saw a picture of this. http://www.foxnews.com/world/2017/08/29/north-koreas-antique-airplane-could-be-its-most-dangerous-weapon-yet.html Looks like some kind of PDA? What are they jumping? LeeLee lee@velocitysportswear.com www.velocitysportswear.com
yoink 321 #2 August 29, 2017 Not sure about the parachute, but I sure feel sorry for some of those paratroopers - landing on steep slopes in deep brush doesn't look like fun! http://imagesvc.timeincapp.com/?q=70&w=1440&url=https%3A%2F%2Ftimedotcom.files.wordpress.com%2F2017%2F08%2Fdhhd523.jpg%3Fquality%3D85
pchapman 279 #3 August 29, 2017 Interesting style of parachute. In that second post's link, once can see that the canopy is effectively 7 round canopies all put together -- six hexagonally around a 7th. I've only seen that once before, in a paragliding reserve that was developed at least a decade back. Since the distance from apex to lower edge is small, making the canopy 'flat', inflation is very quick.
