akarunway 1 #1 October 20, 2006 Should this stuff be aired? Seems to me we see the U.S. side enough. People hootin and hollering when we kill the "insurgents". Or are they "freedom fighters"? I forget. Equal air time? http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20061020/ap_en_tv/tv_cnn_snipers_2I hold it true, whate'er befall; I feel it, when I sorrow most; 'Tis better to have loved and lost Than never to have loved at all. NCclimber 0 #2 October 20, 2006 Wow. You make it sound like we don't hear about car bombs and land mines...the deaths of American soldiers and innocent civilians. I do. It's on the evening news, on a regular basis. I don't recall the mainstream media showing much in the way of insurgents actually being killed. A lot of offensive footage gets aired with the excuse of "equal time" or "an honest picture". We still have cultural norms as to what is or is not appropriate. Most in the media take this into consideration, when deciding what to air.

Gravitymaster 0 #4 October 22, 2006 Right...CNN and all the MSM have deemed the 9/11 video as too "upsetting" to be viewed by the public, but showing an American Soldier assasinated is O.K. -
