mens non-marriage reasons

Recommended Posts

The top 10 reasons that men give for not getting married. Rutgers U study results.

Seems like college pointy-head types wouldn't make references to "free milk and buying the cow", plus easy access to "plenty of hottie cows". ;)

Quote

Reason 1: Men can get sex without marriage more easily than in times past.

Reason 2: Men can enjoy the benefits of having a wife by cohabiting rather than marrying.

Reason 3: Men want to avoid divorce and its financial risks.

Reason 4: Men want to wait until they are older to have children.

Reason 5: Men fear that marriage will require too many changes and compromises.

Reason 6: Men are waiting for the perfect soul mate and she hasn't yet appeared.

Reason 7: Men face few social pressures to marry.

Reason 8: Men are reluctant to marry a woman who already has children.

Reason 9: They want to own a house before they get a wife.

Reason 10: Men want to enjoy life as long as they can.

Reason 11: When men say, "these are the top 10 reasons", women respond with, "That isn't what you think. You really think..." and the associated "You are non-committing pond scum". :D

...now, where is that asbestos typing-suit...

women get old. they are women. no matter how down to earth your girlfreind is she menstrates.
i could go on....

.................. Also, i dont think that humans have the integrity or experience to promise forever. ..................

and that is well backed up, savvy?

In evolutionary terms, marraige is not natural.

i dont care what people think or say, i have seen it happen. getting married is a cast. a chain. it means a boy has grown up and is about to die. boysdont like getting old and dieing. and boys dont like sleeping with old, loose skin, wrinkled women. (I am just writing what all guys think, and some will probably write and say im wrong.but thats cool. )

also, prime age for women is between 16ish and 32ish. for men, between 18ish and 55ish.do the math. women do their jobs making babies best if at all in their prime range. men can do thier part for their prime age. so, again, do the math.

Which is why smart women date men, not boys.

I was pondering this today. Twice married. Twice divorced. I said never again. BUT, if I could find a decent woman that could KEEP HER MOUTH SHUT AND HER LEGS SPREAD (for me), maybe once more. And she has to be a good cook too. And it's hard to beat MY cookin. Guess I'll be single til my dyin day. LOL.B|

It's called pure hypocrisy.

Women are human and you are either going accept that
or be forever on the lookout for an upgrade.
Good luck because no matter how good her hardware is her software
could still have some crazy virus.
At least with a woman who's older and you've been with and
you know which shade of crazy she has already and whether you can handle it or not. :S

Love can be forever. I believe it does exist.
There has to be guys out there left who aren't complete assholes. I believe I may even know a couple of them. :|

how, may i ask, is that hypocrisy?

I call it honesty.

and love? hmm.... maybe it is out there. but maybe its just a self imposed dilusion.

and her hardware? i mean, being that you started the computer metephor, ill continue.
Computers are bought, used, and become obsolete and replaced in about 5 years. sometimes a lot faster.

and on computers, a virus is easily fixable. you can erase everything on the computer and start over. i love computers.

I agree with you too.

I don't put 100% stock in Calvin's remark, but it is relevant. Any guy can understand it, even if they don't agree with it.
So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh

I dont have a master riggers lap rating. i dont even have a riggers rating. but i pack my own reserve, and only my own. haveing the rating and knowing how to do it are seperate things. i do have a belly lap emergeny rig though. i have a lot of old bailout rigs i have jumped. and hardly anything in my profile is accurate. dont trust it.

Then I would say your truth is reprehensible.

im not sure your useing 'reprehensible' correctly. if so, i fail to see the blameworthy aspect of said comment.

yeah, i didnt know what it meant:S. but i looked it up.

for as long as i can get young, beautiful, tight, and spunky ass, i will. if i am not dead by the time i am worn out, then i will find a girl or woman that likes me for me, not my pheremons.

I assure you. I was using the word 'reprehensible' in a correct manner.
reprehensible-deserving rebuke or censure; blameworthy
I tend to know what my words mean on a regular basis. ;)

Love does exist. The absolute need to be with someone forever. I got real lucky and found it...and I pity those that haven't found it. If you think sex is good, that is just because you have never had anything better. Sex with real head over heals love is the best rush, closeset to God experience you get to have...well the best i've found (and I tried all the ones I could find;))
Don't get me wrong, I'm not a proponent of marriage, I tell people to not get married all the time. If you aren't thrilled to death with everything about someone, don't get married just get laid! It's a hallow existence...but it's all you have without love.
Faith in a holy cause is to a considerable extent a substitute for lost faith in ourselves.

No disrespect to your parents but longevity of a relationship doesn't say anything about love or the quality of the relationship. Just means that, for whatever reasons, they stayed together.

Love? Possibly. It could just as easily be pathology, a perceived lack of viable options or fear to face the uncertainty of change that keeps couples together.

My mom tells me of one woman she has treated regularly over the years in the ER after being beaten by her husband. They've been married for over 30 years.

Love? still got it both ways:)
pathology?

Viable options? got plenty

Uncertainty of change:D:D We weren't born married and and we're not going to die together so change is a fact of life that we will all have to face sooner or later.

Some people stay together for all the wrong reasons:o Women that stay with their abusers is commen, and some do it for the reasons you stated[:/]

Some of us luck out and hook up with our soul mates (gay or straight). I'm a happy camper with my main squeeze and with the benifit of 37 yr's of hindsight I've got no complaints:)
