Thinking about moving to a Non-Nazi state

Recommended Posts

I have been seriously contemplating moving to a state where you aren't a criminal for owning firearms of any kind unless you have harmed someone or something with said firearms.

I am looking for honest suggestions and helpful informartion.

With that said what are your opinions and why?

Come to Rhode Island Bro.
You have to fill out a questioner that asks about gun safety (takes 5 Min at your local gun store)and you will pass it if you know any thing about guns. Within a week you have your blue license and you can purchase any guns, including pistols.
Excluding full Auto, and silencers.

No problems here in PA - just don't move to Philly!

I just picked up a Mosin Nagant M44 Carbine. What a sweet piece of jistory, and you can get them for a song.

Even back then they didn't just tell everyone their intent.

It all started by making criminals of law abiding people in order to seperate them from other "citizens"

Maybe you aren't aware of the legislation being proposed in Illinois.

The laws proposed will make criminals of people who did nothing wrong.

Washington is fairly good on the list of being weapons friendly.. and getting a carry permit.. easy as well.

Good hunting can be had for deer( 3 species Whitetail, Blacktail, and Mule deer) Elk, bear, couger, lots of small species and plenty of birds.

Permits are available for Moose, BigHorn Sheep and Mountain Goat...but its hard to get them.

I think most of the Western States. have a far healthier attitude to guns than the Eastern states.. plus there is far mor open space to go to use them in long hunting seasons.

I have never shot one.. I am not a proponent of killing cats.. they do a good job of keeping the numbers of animals down that the woefully poor hunters do not take home with them. That prevents the huge starve offs like happened in Eastern WA a few years ago because of the deep snows...and not enough food in the remaining low land winter habitat.

I have seen them on numerous occasions.. BUT the trick to seeing cats in the wild is to be stealthy.. and go to an area where they are at... and spend more time looking thru a spotting scope... than moving around scaring them off. We have a VERY healthy population of cougar.. and bobcat in this state... you just have to take the time to look for them.

Hunting seasons start in the high country of the wilderness areas.. with Early Buck.. and that ususally allows for cougar and bear in some of those game units from time to time.. and they start in AUG... Usually by the time the wet season starts in the traditional hunting season in OCT.. there is already snow flying in the high country, and it is inaccessible.

Here if you have anything that is designed to reduce the guns sound without a permit (very hard to get) it is considered a felony.
I can understand that to a point. Just as I can understand we don’t need to have a fully auto assault riffle with a grenade luncher on it.

However some states like New York make it way to hard to be able to have a pistol license.

I had one hop up on a rock about 25 yards from me over on the Upper stretches of the Methow River. She just sat there primping herself.... and a couple of her kittens were playing about 20 ft away...Like I said.. I leave the cats alone they do far more good in the wilderness than my need to shoot such an accomplished fellow hunter.

If you take all 50 states, then eliminate all states "where you aren't a criminal for owning firearms of any kind unless you have harmed someone or something with said firearms", and THEN you eliminate "all non-Nazi states", that basically leaves....Montana.

I guess I'll see you at Lost Prairie sometime.

Yup... but when I am hunting and walking along at 6000' plus.. I tend to take a very minimal day pack ....the old lungs just aint what they used to be.. since I live at about 200' above sea level... I take the stuff I need to be safe and to process a deer.. and my Nikon is way to heavy and dear to me to put in a pack in that country.
