Pelosi - "I want my jet!"

also the hypocrisy of the righties who still try to justify the story.

You are the one crying about how the first lady gets a bigger jet...I didn't see you crying when it was Mrs Clinton getting the bigger plane.

You want Hypocrisy? Look in a mirror.

I don't want ANY speaker to get a plane bigger than they need. YOU are OK with it since it is a Dem.

I don't have a problem with the First Lady getting a C32A. It's part of the plane's defined mission in the USAF inventory, as is transporting senior government officials. I certainly used the First Lady as a basis of comparison with the 3rd highest official in the US government. If the FLOTUS qualifies, why doesn't the Speaker, and if the Speaker doesn't, why does the First Lady? No one, not even you, was able to answer that.

ALL the actual objections to the use of the C32A have come from the right.

PS thanks for keeping the "SILLY" thread alive.;)

Your welcome

Without your help it would long ago have disappeared.

And while I agree the title of the thread, and the main reason for the thread was wrong. It does show how you and others have a double standard when it comes to spending tax payers money.

One side = bad
Your side = good.

And while I agree the title of the thread, and the main reason for the thread and the content of the article was wrong. It does show how you and others that the right wing media and their readers have a double standard when it comes to spending tax payers money as evidenced by this selective and deliberately misleading hit piece and the hypocritical mudslinging by the mud-faced "friendly fire" victims who somehow think that if they get the last word in, regardless of accuracy, that they will somehow be less wrong.

:D
You're right Kallend, this IS fun.

You just keep proving my point.

I AGREED that the tilte was misleading. I agreed that Pelosi herself never demanded the big jet.

But you and others sure do have a double standard. Here is some more proof. I have never said anything other than she should get the same plane to reduce waste...You and others said she should get the bigger plane due to her position.

Then there is the rsst of your post:

who somehow think that if they get the last word in, regardless of accuracy, that they will somehow be less wrong.

Just like you just did....This is fun. Keep digging boys, you aint to China yet!

And once again, I'll call. Where did I say that?

It is what this thread was about and you sure seem to have an opinion.

If you think that's what this thread is about then that explains a lot. The thread was about baseless attacks, which explains why you and I have exchanged so many posts.

Double standards must be a hobby of yours.

Yep, I hate 'em and I call 'em when I see 'em.

Just a item of fact to interject here...SAM will be providing the best option based on request, number of passengers and availability.

An issue that did not get reported too much was that apparently there was a request that the staffers be able to use the service when the Speaker was not going anywhere. That request was declined.
So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh
Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright
'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life
Make light!

That would be "Rarebit," Not "Rabbit."
Illinois needs a CCW Law. NOW.

Or is it?

The OED establishes that the original name of the food was "Welsh rabbit", and mentions "Welsh rarebit" only as an "etymologizing alteration of [the preceding]. There is no evidence of the independent use of rarebit"..... The first record of the term "Welsh rabbit" was in 1725, with the alternative form "rarebit" occurring from 1785.[2] In the Victorian era and later, however, the latter form became preferred in recipe books. This was based on folk etymology — "rabbit", that is, was assumed to be a perversion of earlier "rarebit", although the reverse was in fact true.
