Just to throw in a little perspective, $12 billion was the figure I heard as an estimate for building a hydrogen infrastructure to support fuel cell cars. Funny, that amount of money is so massive that we can't use it here in the US to start trying to wean ourselves off of fossil fuels but we have no problem throwing it out of the back of a truck in a war zone.
