Can you indentify these?

Recommended Posts

With help from a buddy, my guesses:

(1) .223 Remington (5.6 X45 NATO), if it is a trick, then it is the new .204 Hornady

(2) .300 Whisper, or .300 Remington Short Ultra-Mag

(3) either a .308 Winchester (7.62 X 51 NATO), or .338 Federal (new this year)

(4) .30-06

(5) 12 Gauge, 3" Winchester Supreme, payload is a slug or buckshot.

Hell if I know but the Lapua round did stand out. It's very distinctive looking. *Shrug* If it isn't .223 or 9MM or something eastern block I won't recognize it these days. :D These days I only worry about what is pointed at me. Unfortunately, those nice people over in Iran have provided THESE to insurgents. :S You can be pretty stupid and still kill someone with that.

Wow. Iran is spending some bucks. Any idea how many/how common rifles like that are inuse by the enemy?

OK. I'll give it a guess:

Left to Right:

1. .223 Remington /5.56mm (I guess we're all pretty much agreed on that.

2. I think THIS is the nigger in the woodpile: 7mm/.280 enfield?

3. 7.62x51 NATO.

4. 7mm Magnum.

5. Mil-Spec Smarties Tube (for folk who can't aim).:P

Hi Torero,

1 - yes (we Europeans know that)
2 - yes (and cannot talk, too)
3 - yes (surely more than one)
4 - yes (wait until the North American posters wake up) ;)

(Just making sure this thread doesn´t get moved to bonfire)

Don't feel scared, as long as there is only one single bullet in the match, that will not happen :P

You mean along with the AI 2000 rifles found off dead enemy snipers, a couple of which that were french nationals?

Hey I wasn't the one who purchased it.

It is not good ammo but it does go bang...usually

Hey I a can of brakleen and a boresnake with dental pick and I am done.

I am not going to bust open a case of M855 just to take a picture.:P

I am saving that for a rainy day I actually need eleven more cases.

I will probably never be able to afford a case or two of the short fat ones...I had better buy reloading equipment.

Those little bastards are $1.25 per round>:(

If I reload with Lapua Brass and bullets with 4895IMR they wll cost $0.86 per round.

The bad thing is even the Lapua brass on that one will only be good for five reloads max.

I just bought a case of 5.56 penetrator from Ammoman.
Its good thing I have a stockpile as everything is going thru the roof , pricewise.
I got a hungry M-14 and cant even find surplus 7.62x51 anymore
