Andy_Copland 0 #4 February 18, 2007 You'd think there would be other things in mind like IED's or actually finding people who want to kill them... Not "Oh i got a wicked idea, lets scare sheep and a farmer" Stuff like this has a knock on effect and can turn peoples opinion on the majority of good soldiers.1338 People aint made of nothin' but water and shit. warpedskydiver 0 #5 February 18, 2007 Asswipes like that would be facing the old man when they got back into their unit's HQ if they had a First Sergeant that was worth anything at all. If these were NCO's they would be missing a stripe or two.

vortexring 0 #8 February 18, 2007 It is disappointing yet fairly common place. Or at least, common place from the 'problem children.' Most platoons have them. It's not as if most lads joining the Infantry are fine upstanding gentlemen are they? Although the military generally squares such characters away. Generally. It's certainly one method to destroy any support from the locals, which is something I've harped on enough times about in the past, i.e. hearts and minds, bla, bla, bla. Now, if I were to catch the lads doing this, they would be in a world of cabbage. Seriously. And I'd have to exert some effort in not laughing over it all with them. I know - I'm going to hell. 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'
