Rush, honest to god I've tried to hold intelligent conversations with you, but it's simply impossible. And it seems as if this is the only type of thing that can get your attention. The voting issue idrankwhat brought up was a legitimate and thoughtful question. Your response to it was ludicrous. I don't expect you to change, but for god's sake at least give it a try every now and then.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver

I don't expect you to change, but for god's sake at least give it a try every now and then. When people talk down their noses at people they will get the kind of reply they ask for. At least from me As responding to you, well, you have given me few, if any chances to do what you suggest. You and I will agree on very little To me that is ok You however, like many other "progressives" here cannot understand how someone is so stupid as not to agree with them and then talk to them with that attitude and tone Doesn’t piss me off, but it sure seems difficult for the progressive to take what they give. As for my point (that to which you responded here) it right on the money. It is no different than what stirred the crap up in WI Unions are the Democrats path to tax dollars for campaign cash That is what card check is about. Giving the unions more power to form more unions And card check is a despicable nasty socialist type tactic That is why the majority of voters are against it And this fact is why the Dems keep trying to find back door ways to slip it by the people That, my friend, is the truth. As for trying what you suggest I try? You first"America will never be destroyed from the outside, if we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves." idrankwhat 0 #30 August 5, 2011 Quote In the end it is all about union money given to support political power If you had excluded the word "union" from that absolute statement then I would have agreed. As for the recent rule change on the voting, the new rules make more sense than the old ones as far as I can tell. It seems like only counting votes that were cast would lead to a more accurate election.

What card check really does is make all the votes public. Your vote is known to everybody. This opens the whole thing up to arm twisting and intimidation by both sides But one side is much more organized going into a vote like this. Care to make a guess which side? Voting is a personal thing and for the integrity of voting to stand, it should stay private IMO"America will never be destroyed from the outside, if we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves."
