Thug beats up 101 year old woman on camera

It was just sickenning to watch this video. It would be really lovely if this thug ran into a Bernard Goetz type or at least got killed by another loser thug.

With luck he will "resist arrest" if caught thus forcing the cops to "use the neccessary force to defend themselves" and perhaps trip and fall several hundred times on the way to the station.

If he gets in front of a judge, his lawyer will undoubtedly scream all kinds of crap about him being disadvantaged and all that bulshit, so the guy gets some joke of a short sentence, thus denying any real justice.

I agree.

According to the report I saw, he left the scene of the first attack and beat up another old lady in walker.

The cops say their pulling out all the stops on this one. I too hope he resists arrest. He'll get what he deserves.

Don't even THINK about this guy getting off easy. The last thing anyone should do is provide vibes that he not be punished.

"Vibes" will have no more effect upon what happens in this case than will the Flying Spaghetti Monster.

Anything short of being gutshot and left to die screaming in agony means he is getting off easy.

I agree with you, but unfortunately his lawyer will pull out all stops to make the jury see him as some kind of disadvanteged victim of exclusion who is merely misunderstood. By the time he is done the judge and jury will be crying their hearts out for this thug. I would not be surprised if he did minimal jail time. Heres hoping that I am wrong on this one.

Aside from the little novella you're composing in your head, you have absolutely no idea what the hell you're talking about.

I'm disgusted by this, but sadly not surprised.

Why are you not surprised? I mean, other than the fact that vicious crime has existed in humankind ever since the existence of humankind.

I'm not surprised because I can think of few members of society more vulnerable to criminals than a 101 year old woman.

God forbid those who know/have studied Law correct those who get their info from Wikipedia and too many episodes of Law and Order.

Oh here we go. The expert bit[:/]. Hate to tell you there sunshine but one does not have to be a lawyer and/or know subsection whatever of such and such a code to pick up a paper and notice that these kind of dickheads always seem to get ridiculously light sentences and that the disadvanteged victim bit is always played up. Nor do I have to have studied law to notice that there seems to be an unfathomable unwillingness to hold these clowns fully accountable for thier actions.

Incidentally, I did not profess to be knowledgable in the law (and as a matter of fact on another recent thread I amplified the fact that I do not have a law background) but you shouldn't let that stop you from putting words in my mouth so you can jump on the condescending expert bandwagon and inflate your sense of manhood.;)

If you are a lawyer then why did you not simply offer a counterperspective and make your point like an adult instead of snipping away like an ankle biting heckler? Does it require that much thought and effort to offer a constructive input rather than simply doing the speakers corner court jester routine?

If I felt that I had offended you and you were genuinely upset at something I said I would have clarified and/or sought a polite resolution, but since all you have done on this thread is snip at people with remarks like "flying spaghetti monster" and a sarcastic response to someone elses not being surprised, I just figured you were the type who only comes on here to beat on your chest and pick fights. Therefore I treated your remark with the contempt it deserved. In fairness I can't complain. People like you add to the entertainment so don't let me stop you. Feel free to get in the last word.:)
Oh, yeah. I have no interest in the law, so I never watch "Law and Order" or any other law shows/movies.

Let's try to play like adults.
