>Change takes time now doesn't it.

It does indeed. It took a few years for Al Qaeda to rebuild, and they are getting stronger and stronger. There is 25% more terrorism today than there was last year, terrorists have a safe haven in Pakistan, and they're getting stronger all the time. In another few years, we will have lost the war on terror - unless we are smart enough to change course and steer towards a winning strategy.

> Shites killed the Al Queda leader yesterday.

This is at least the fifth "big terrorist" leader claimed dead. The second in command of Al Qaeda was killed - and terrorism increased. Al-Zarqawi (another "Al Qaeda leader in Iraq") was killed - and terrorism increased. If we actually take a lesson from history, terrorism will soon be increasing again.

But I am certain we won't. We'll trumpet this event as evidence that "we're winning" and continue down the same path to disaster. Then there will be another big increase in US/civilian deaths, and we'll have another surge. And there will be two days of less violence, and we'll claim we're winning again. Then the violence will get even worse, and we'll claim that it's because of the media.

And thousands more US soldiers will die to make us less safe.

Talk about being all over the place!?!? :o

WOW! :o

>But to claify, you completley missed (or ignored) my point.

I believe your point is incorrect, which is why I posted what I did. Things are getting worse; our own government's reports prove this.

War supporters can keep wearing those rosy Newsmax glasses and believing that everything is going great and we're on the right track, but the body bags (and reports from our government) tell a different story. And people are starting to care a lot more about those body bags than the sunshine being blown up their asses by a desperate president and a compliant White House press corps.

Figures you would respond this way. You have missed my point and you don't care to try. So be it....

What is your point besides fawning over Bush?

> You have missed my point . . .

Nope. Disagreeing with your point is not the same as missing your point. Believe it or not, there is more than one viewpoint, and yours may not be correct 100% of the time.

I was not talking about a "rosie" situation over there. My point was about the changing attitudes of the groups in Iraq. You don't want (or you can't afford) to see anything other than gloom and doom becuase of you political position. (I suspect)

So be it, you still missed the point[:/]

Yep. Been hearing that for four years as well. The Iraqis are really starting to defend themselves! Iraqis are starting to fight the insurgency! Attitudes, they're really changing! In 2004, you were posting the same stuff. Also in 2005 and 2006. Makes one think that things are really NOT changing.

I see failure because of all the dead bodies four years after "mission accomplished." You sprinkle some perfume on them and think everything smells great.

Dam narrow view but that is what you have to do to defend your perspective.

You are down to misspelled one-liners, so I think I will say good day. Suffice to say that I am glad people are finally realizing that the war isn't working, and that we need a different approach.

No, they only want more Senate seats. Has nothing to do with what is right. If you get em I hope it is for reasons you can support.

Different approach huh. Spell it out then cause saying different approach does not mean anything with out specifics. I know what you are against. Maybe I can learn what you are for??
