78RATS 0 #1 April 20, 2007 Baldwin is in midst of custody battle/divorce. He left this message for his 11 year old daughter the other day. http://www.aolcdn.com/tmz_audio/0419_baldwin.mp3 WOW. Glad he is not my dad. I will never watch this clown again. If he is on, I am out. Zipp0 1 #2 April 20, 2007 Isn't it crazy that a private communication between a father and his daughter is being aired to the public? Isn't it suspicious in the midst of a custody battle. This should not be aired. And BTW - who gives a shit? -------------------------- Chuck Norris doesn't do push-ups, he pushes the Earth down.

He snapped. quade 4 #6 April 20, 2007 I can't believe we live in a society where this kind of crap is aired in public. The fault doesn't lay with Baldwin, it lays with Bassinger. What I hear in the message is FAR less of a dressing down than I EVER would have gotten from my parents in a similar situation. Parents talk to their children strongly when the children don't do what they're supposed to do. Wow. I got yelled at many times by my parents. You'd think they'd have figured out that doesn't work with me. But seriously, my dad has cussed me out from time to time, mostly using the words "goddamn" as in "stop that goddamn shit" for example, but he NEVER called me a dirty name in any form. I'd say my dad did all right. lawrocket 3 #14 April 20, 2007 QuoteThe fault doesn't lay with Baldwin, it lays with Bassinger. Bullshit. It's Baldwin's fault he blew it. It's Baldwin's fault he called his daughter a "rude, thoughtless little pig." It's Baldwin's fault that he told his 11 year-old daughter that she doesn't "have the brains or the decency as a human being." QuoteParents talk to their children strongly when the children don't do what they're supposed to do. Wow. Shocking! This isn't talking to a child strongly. This is a string of childish venting and insults that is contrary to court orders. Tell me, is this a guy who is considering th ebest interests of his child? Is this a guy who is seeking to develop and nurture his child? Or are these the ramblings of someone who didn't get HIS way? He said she has "embarrassed" him "for the last time?" Really? Why is he "embarrassed" by what is supposed to be a private conversation that ain't nobody else's business. The fault lies with Baldwin for being a megalomaniacal asshole. I am trying to find something in there that shows that he cares at all about his daughter. It's obvious the call he wanted to make wasn't for her benefit. It was for HIS benefit. The fucker needs anger management counseling and parenting classes, and probably needed them years ago. It's probably why the court ordered a psychological assessment of him last June. Well bozo....there are also the exes like mine who is convinced, because he's a moron, that I'm trying to turn our son against him. I bought Jay his own phone so that Jesse could call him any time without being worried about interference. Jay just doesn't care to talk to him on the phone every day, so often he doesn't answer the phone....and he NEVER returns a phone call, even when I suggest that he should. Jesse's still convinced that it's my fault as his...lol..."coach." There's no telling what's going on during this Baldwin and Bassinger divorce. Zipp0 1 #17 April 20, 2007 You are assuming a hell of a lot. You have no idea what lead up to this angry phone call, and frankly, it is none of our business. This is a private matter. Parents sometimes say mean things - they are human. This does prove the theory - no matter how hot a woman is, there is some guy out there who is sick and tired of banging her. Although, I haven't seen Kim lately. -------------------------- Chuck Norris doesn't do push-ups, he pushes the Earth down.

That was a private moment between a father and a daughter. I have been so unfairly treated in this whole thing. I've spent the last five years telling anyone and everyone how great of a guy I am and how horrible she and the courts are. How dare she hurt ME like this." No, how dare he call his 11 year-old daughter a pig? What's the bad stuff here? A dad calling his 11 year-old daughter a "pig" or someone publishing the recording of a guy calling his 11 year-old daughter a "pig?" edited to add: If a person thinks that records are sealed and not going to get out to the public, that person is likely to pull all kinds of shit because of no fear of public reprisal. So he can bitch all the time about unfairness, get the press, and at the same time be causing all the bad shit that's goign on. "Hey, the records are sealed, right? Nobody will know that I'm full of shit." If it violated a court order by releasing the recording, then the person who released it should be punished with contempt. But there is no defense for what Baldwin did to his daughter. My wife is hotter than your wife.

A dad calling his 11 year-old daughter a "pig" or someone publishing the recording of a guy calling his 11 year-old daughter a "pig?" You're completely missing Zippo's points, which I think are spot on. We have no idea of what led up to this, the context, the history, the provocation, anything. It is the very, very , very rare divorce - or for that matter, marital fight - in which only one partner is to blame. Parents under extreme stress - and few things are more stressful than being in the midst of a bitter divorce - sometimes do verbally blow up at their kids. Fallible human beings, especially under stress, have lapses. That doesn't mean they're like that all the time, or even indicate a pattern. We have no idea what kind of outrageous shit Basinger may have also pulled in the PRIVACY of the family; but of course that dirty laundry hasn't been aired in public, has it? What about all the times Baldwin told the kid he loved her more than he loved life? That almost certainly happened, too, but there's no videotape of it to publish. So all we see is one bad moment. This is none of our fucking business.
NCclimber 0 #22 April 20, 2007 Wouldn't it be great if the judge ordered both of them to get "fixed"? It is the opinion of this court that neither of you are capable of anything remotely resembling decent parenting, therefore, to remove any chance of either of you ever procreating again, I order you...
