Boy Bags Wild Hog Bigger Than 'Hogzilla'

Hogzilla is being made into a horror movie. But the sequel may be even bigger: Meet Monster Pig. An 11-year-old Alabama boy used a pistol to kill a wild hog his father says weighed a staggering 1,051 pounds and measured 9-feet-4 from the tip of its snout to the base of its tail...

Jamison was hunting with father Mike Stone and two guides in east Alabama on May 3 when he bagged Hogzilla II. He said he shot the huge animal eight times with a .50- caliber revolver and chased it for three hours through hilly woods before finishing it off with a point-blank shot. Through it all there was the fear that the animal would turn and charge them, as wild boars have a reputation of doing...

With the pig finally dead in a creek bed, trees had to be cut down and a backhoe brought in to bring Jamison's prize out of the woods.

Mike Stone is having sausage made from the rest of the animal. "We'll probably get 500 to 700 pounds," he said.

Shooting something that size with a .50 caliber revolver is nuts!:S
I'd be afraid that would just piss it off.
I'd want at least a 30mm cannon.

this was on a fishing forum. its a cross between domestic and wild pig.....the ears and snout look like a domestic farm pet, which get over 1,000lbs often. true wild pigs don't really get over 500...

and yea the kid is not leaning on the thing....he's an easy 5-10ft back makes it look like a 5,000lb rhino..and there's no other pictures of the thing because they can't replicate the scale twice.

Girl Bags Wild beer Bigger Than 'beerzilla'

beerzilla is being made into a horror movie. But the sequel may be even bigger: Meet Monster beer. An 40 year-old Las Vegan Girl used a Mug to kill a wild brew her boyfriend says weighed a staggering 1,051 pounds and measured 4-feet-4 from the tip of its snout to the base of its tail...

K8 was celebrating with friends during her bday bash when she bagged beerzilla II. sHe said she drank the huge draught for eight hours with a 52 inch stien and chased it for three hours through noisy bar before finishing it off with a point-blank shot. Through it all there was the fear that the beer would turn and spew on them, as wild brews have a reputation of doing...

With the beer finally dead in the bladder, trees had to be cut down and a backhoe brought in to bring K8 to pee.

K8 is havig a grog bowl made from the rest of the Beer."We'll probably get 500 to 700 rounds," she said

CRAZY!! we had something like that happen here. No, she's not 40 ,either.

Could be a big pig...might not be a big pig. One thing is for sure, if that boy really is leaning on that hog then that hog has to weigh 2000-3000 lbs.
Ain't it somethin' what can be done with digital cameras and Photo-Shop? ;)

His dad must be a bass fisherman, they always use that stunt to make everything look huge.

If that kid were eleven, he has the head of a 6 month old child.

he appears to have a head smaller than the snout of the pig.

Also eight shots from a .50cal revolver would easily kill a polar bear, and that pig is not even close to being that size and toughness.

He took 16 shots, hit it 9 times. It sounds like he's a very poor shot and certainly a poor hunter. If you can't make a clean kill don't take the shot.

That's an awfully large revolver for an 11 yo kid. If he wants to hunt something that big, he should use a rifle with the right kind of bullet to penetrate a large animal like that. No animal should take that many shots to kill it. That's like using a .22 rifle to kill a deer. >:(

Always use enough gun to do the job. Then try to make a clean kill.

hunting with a pistol no matter what caliber should be illegal, hunter saftey course basic instructions is to always go for the clean kill, that size pistol and some one his age shouldnt be using it. one shot one kill not 19 shots one kill. bad training and ethics in my opinion

Do you really want someone else making htat decision for you? Then don't make that decision for someone else.

Asolutely not. First off, some handguns fire rifle-caliber rounds at near rifle speeds. There is no sound reason why such a handgun couldn't bring down a target with one shot. Also, other handguns such as .45acp have been used to bring down whitetails and other medium sixed game for nearly as long as they've been around.

When things start passing three to four hundred pounds I wouldn't use a handgun of any sort on them, but (A) it's your life and (B) they are capable of doing the job if you have the fortitude and skill to use them properly.

Yes, that would do a much better job.:DB| Still might be a bit much for a kid to handle.

I noticed in the linked article that he killed his first deer when he was 5 years old. I've known a lot of kids who were shooting targets at that age, but not live game. It seems to me, and I may be wrong, that at 5 years old a person has very little understanding of the concepts of life & death. Do they actually realize they are ending a life and susequently show the respect due the animal? Anyone care to share their thoughts on that? [:/]

last year my three year old started crying for me when i came home from a day of hunting and told him that i didn't get a deer. i didn't know if he really understood what i was trying to do. when i did bring home a deer, i was aprehensive when i told him to come out and look at daddy's deer. i was worried that he might get upset when he saw that i had killed the deer. i was surprised when he got very excited and posed for pictures with the deer. he also watched as i skinned an quartered it. when i served it for dinner, he said "this is the deer that you shot daddy". he then took a bite and promply spit it out because he doesn't like deer meat. i'm sure that he doesn't fully understand the concept of death, but in a couple of years, i'm sure that he'll understand it better. what he won't be able to do is shoot a gun big enough to kill a deer. he'll be able to shoot a pellet gun and maybe a .22 under very controlled conditions, but i doubt he will be able to shoot at live game.

Good grief, if someone shot your leg eight times with a .50-cal, you might not have a leg left!!! The femural-arterial-bleed will let you live for 4, maybe 5 minutes...:S

8 shots from a .50 revolver in the lower leg is quite survivable. In fact, it would have a high probability of survival. The leg would most likely be lost below the knee, but quick basic first aid will keep the patient alive until a doctor can finish the amputation the bullets started.

Actually the femoral doesn't go to the lower leg, which is why I chose that. I was exaggerating, but I'm just trying to make the point that 8 shots to certain parts of the body would be survivable under the right circumstances.
