Douva 0 #1 June 23, 2007 Does anybody know of a good website that rebuts the most common arguments made by the 9/11 conspiracy theorists? I've looked at Snopes, but I was wondering if anyone knows of any others.I don't have an M.D. or a law degree. I have bachelor's in kicking ass and taking names. sundevil777 102 #3 June 23, 2007 Here's one, there are probably better examples: http://www.popularmechanics.com/technology/military_law/1227842.htmlPeople are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. I’m certainly not, and I’m sick and tired of being told that I am

diverborg 0 #7 June 25, 2007 I can't believe people out there still fall for this BS?? I couldn't believe my ears the other day when a relative of mine (a student at University of Nebraska) said how one of his professors told the whole class that the world trade centers were rigged with explosives and gave them the whole fire cant melt steel bs. He was sadly convinced and nothing I could say would change his mind. Thats all we need is this caliber of professors brainwashing our easily persuaded college kids. I wonder how many college kids this guy has persuaded into thinking our govt intentionally murdered 3,000 of its own people.
Zee 0 #8 June 25, 2007 You can always check out the 9/11 timeline Not a conspiracy website but it provides access to a virtual ton of information.... Action©Sports
vortexring 0 #9 June 25, 2007 Yes, but have you any evidence to the contrary?Anyway, have a look at this, David Shayler, MI5 Whistle blower; http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-5403286136814574974 Blimey. 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'
dorbie 0 #10 June 25, 2007 Quote Yes, but have you any evidence to the contrary?Anyway, have a look at this, David Shayler, MI5 Whistle blower; http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-5403286136814574974 Blimey. He's talking shite, he goes over the same bad science and straw man arguments of the conspiracy nuts, presenting "scientific opinion" that he's not qualified to offer. Anyone who spouts the fire cannot melt steel argument and anyone who believes it proves conspiracy is an idiot ignoring ample evidence available to anyone who cares to accept it. Tell me why as an Architecture student 20 years ago I was trained like every other architect on the planet to clad steel frame structures with intumescent fire protection and was also trained that it would only protect the steel for a very limited time before inevitable collapse if the fire was not put down, the purpose of the protection being to allow time for evacuation not prevent collapse. Now after this I've got to listen to every gobshite misfit with an internet connection parlay whatever semblence of credibility they pretend to have into a pitch for 9-11 conspiracy including their fuckwitted version of "scientific analysis". Tell us why being an British intel dropout with an axe to grind qualifies someone as a structural engneer making "scientific claims"? Tell us why all steel frame buildings have fire protection on steel structures or take your gobshite somewhere else. Tell us why after this has already been pointed out to you in other threads are you still presenting the same hackneyed conspiracy shit? One of the key signs of pseudoscience and conspiracy nuttery is that in the face of evidence the argument is not withdrawn, amended or corrected. The facts and simle explanaton is simply ignored. There is no reasoning with this crap because reason falls on deaf ears and the same discredited arguments and straw men are presented over and over again by people not in the slightest interested in any outcome other that their conspiracy theory being confirmed/reinforced. It is a fucking pathetic thing to witness.
vortexring 0 #11 June 25, 2007 Relax! I'm not a conspiracy nutter. I find David Shayler to be of high entertainment value. Besides, it's quite apparant you'd have to be a fruit loop to take the man seriously. You said: 'Tell us why after this has already been pointed out to you in other threads are you still presenting the same hackneyed conspiracy shit?' For the entertainment value. Although I'm now feeling guilty for trolling. Oh dear. 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.' I can see the funny side, but remember people who watch these get to vote.I have come to the tragic conclusion that many people who see videos like this (perhaps even most) believe them to some extent.
