Darius11 12 #1 June 26, 2007 I don’t think I have ever been more confused. I listen to the Liberal side, and I like the philosophy but real world application of most of their philosophies is not realistic. I listen to the Reps. and they seem more realistic but at the same time some of their views are just unacceptable and just based on religion. I am not discussing any particular issue it is just the feel I get from all the issues combined. I find it very frustrating that I would feel more comfortable voting for my Postman then any of the candidates. Is there anyone you feel strongly about? Or has anyone got your vote already? And why?I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
warpedskydiver 0 #2 June 26, 2007 Darius, try checking into Fred Thompson, he is not perfect(nobody is), but probably our best bet for a good/great president. By all accounts I can find, he keeps his word. He is a matter of fact guy, and very intelligent. Is not afraid to tell us what he thinks, he needs no fucking polls to tell him what to think. Remember when we told you about the Liberatarian Party? BTW how have you been?
Thanatos340 1 #3 June 26, 2007 The Libertarian Party has a GREAT Platform and Philosophy.. Unfortunately the party is run by and controlled by NutJobs and extremist. (Kind of like the Two Major parties). If the Libertarians could find quality leadership and shift focus from fringe issues like Drug Legalization and abolishment of the IRS they could make a real difference. Until then they will be just another poorly implemented good idea.

quade 4 #5 June 26, 2007 They're all human, they all have flaws. So far and out of all of the declared candidates I would support McCain. I am, however, open to the idea there may be somebody out there that has not yet declared that might be better. I think I have quite a few months to make up my mind. quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver

The qualities you mentioned are the ones I hold as very important as well. I also do like the libertarian party from what I know and I don’t know much. I think there basic philosophy is you can do what ever you want as long as it does not directly effect others. They also believe in small government. I like both of those positions. I have been great. Just lots of work, haven't been able to jump much but life is good man. I have not looked at Fred Thompson yet so I will research him a bit, but right now I like McCain the most so far as well. I get a sense of honor from the man and less BS then I get from the others. It is too early your right on that. I think I might over think this as well. This will be the first presidential election I will be allowed to cast a vote for. So I am excited and really want to make the right decision. I am looking for any information I can get. I think he has the Perot sickness (mild insanity). In the list of greatest evils, it goes Obama (inexperienced), McCain (hates the bill of rights) and Clinton (no explanation necessary). These were the main candidates of 2006. We'll see if better horses show up by the end of 2007. Looks like that will be the case. Edwards, Gulianni, Bloomberg, ... ?? But if you're faced with two crappy choices, I tend towards the party that hasn't been in the white house for 8 years. After too much time in power, the dominant party gets pretty blantant in their corruption and lack of responsiveness to the people.

Para_Frog 1 #25 June 26, 2007 [soapbox]Our elected officials were originally chosen among us and basically drew the short straw from their community. They had to skip the harvest, or the planting, or whichever...to take the will of the people to the government. Then in a year or so, it rotated to another member of the community. Until we manage our way back to THAT instead of representation being a way to parlay a $140,000 salary into millions per year, we will cointinue to have one party. That of the wealthy.
