Why did so many people not want to admit the truth that some people actually jumped from the building, why did many Americans (ie, the media) not want to use the term "jumped" but insist on saying they were blowm out of the building, or some other equally wrong term? why not face the truth about that day? On that day, I lost many colleagues. I watched in horror as the second plane hit the second tower. I know many jumped to escape the intense fire. I would like to imagine my colleagues not suffering, I want to imagine that those that died did so with out pain, without having to chose which way they were going to die (jump or burn). That picture shows someone's brother, husband, father and/or friend jumping to his death. It hurts. It hurts alot to see.jBe kinder than necessary because everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.
Darius11 12 #5 September 7, 2007 Because the term jumped is often used to describe someone who willingly jumped as in suicide. Having to choose between burning alive or jumping to a quick death is not really a choice and not considered suicide by most IMHO.I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
MrWong 0 #6 September 7, 2007 When you think about that day, what a result for the high-jackers if they could have known what total devastation they would cause they would have been amazed they succeeded beyond their wildest dreams
Darius11 12 #7 September 7, 2007 They were idiots. Sheep who if they knew the religion they apparently died for would have never done such a thing. Unfortunately there are always people who are extremists and they are always sheep that will follow. I hate all extremists no matter if it is religious extreme , pr PC extreme all form of it sucks except EXTREEM SPORTS.I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

birdshit 0 #11 September 7, 2007 i dont know if the guy jumped, got blown out or tripped on a snag in the carpet and fell.. if I worked in a 90+ story building, I would invest in a base rig. If that ever happened, then the choice would be "try out some extreme base jumping or burn" my respects to those who lost their lives and their families. EDIT: why are the words base jumping converted to a url? This implies an endorsement of that website by me and it is in bad taste.
