lawrocket 3 #2 September 13, 2007 Predictions: 1) The election will be "closer" than expected; 2) Lawsuits will be filed in key states upon strong evidence from Democratic voters that they have been any or all of the following: a) Duped into voting for a Republican candidate (they remember vividly voting Republican on accident, and have sworn declarations from October 30, 2007 that it occurred) b) Frightened and kept away by police, who were profiling to arrest democratic voters; c) Electronic voting has been hacked by Republican operatives; 3) Ralph Nader will fuck it up for a Deocrat again. 4) The election will be declared a victory for one candidate at 5:00 p.m. eastern time. 5) Global warming will result in bizarre weather patterns throughout the northeast, which will result in only SUV-driving corporate Republican whores being able to drive to the polling place down the block. 6) The electoral college will be used to either declare a false mandate by the winner or a false lack-of-mandate by the loser. Calls for its abolition will once again occur because elections should not be decided by redneck peckerwoods with nothing to do but farm and smoke meth. 7) If a Democrat prevails, the US troops will be withdrawn from Iraq by April, 2009 subsequent to budget slashing by Congress. If a Republican prevails, funding for troops will be maintained as Democrats seek the key issue for the 2012 elections. My wife is hotter than your wife. NCclimber 0 #5 September 13, 2007 Quote The thought makes me physically sick. I think Hilary will get the nomination but I hope Thompson beats her. You never know. Who didn't think Gore wasn't a shoo-in back on Sept. '99? Sorry about the double negative. I don't have a problem with the Dems being in control for a couple of years, but I'm sure there are plenty of liberals who cringe at the prospect of another Republican in the White House. Hope it's close. Should be fun to watch.

willard 0 #7 September 13, 2007 Dems: Hillary Repubs: Wide open at this time Repubs win the White House with a middle-of-the-road candidate who manages to distance himself from Bush. Though Hillary will get the Dem nomination there are too many swing voters who will not vote for her under any circumstances and too many who will vote for anyone running against her. idrankwhat 0 #8 September 13, 2007 The Dems will nominate a status quo candidate. The R's will nominate a status quo candidate. And nothing will change except the headlines. But somehow there will be a great rhetorical division in this country about how one side of the business party is so much superior to the other side of the business party. SpeedRacer 1 #9 September 13, 2007 QuoteYou guys still think there's going to be an election?Oh, well, there's always other options such as: The USA is destroyed in a nuke attack from Al Quada, JUST AS THE BIBLE CLEARLY FORTOLD!! (King James version only) Or the UN, under control of the Anti-Christ, sends out its evil black helicopters & takes over the USA & the rest of the world in a One World Government. And makes JohnRich give up his guns. Speed Racer --------------------------------------------------
tkhayes 348 #10 September 13, 2007 I expect the American people will elect another Republican, mostly because I do not think the dem's have a viable candidate or clear enough policy. The republican's at least, "dammit we're in Iraq and we are going to stay there..." albeit wrong, but they have a stance, and they appear ot have no other say on any other policies. The Dem's talk about health care, and stuff, but no matter what spin they put on it, it does not seem very clear nor doable, so I think that will hurt them, even if it is the right direction. Basically I think most American voters are not bright enough to do the right thing, and they will vote based on fear more than anything, including fear of change. We need a third viable party (or even a fourth too) wish I could run for Pres.

kelpdiver 2 #12 September 13, 2007 QuoteHillary wins it all. Republicans gain seats in both the Senate and the House, but not regain control of either. If a Democrat wins, they will likely increase control of Congress, esp the Senate where far more Republicans are up for relection. But since so far Clinton and Obama seem to still dominate their side, and neither will win, looks like like the GOP reign will continue. Might regain House if so, but Senate is unlikely. I think she has the capability to do the job but she's not a good choice. If she's elected she'll be attacked on a personal level, not a policy one, which will mean we spend our time and money talking about stupid, inconsequential crap like we did when her hubby was in office. Also, if she were elected she would be the first woman president. Due to the enormous mess that 43 has caused I predict that 44 will be a one term loser regardless of which side of the arbitrary right/left line they come from. And when she fails I'd hate to have people put the blame on the gender.

He's looking for the bail out.
