Student tazered at public Kerry speech

You're just pissed off because they tazed you and people are making fun of you and printing t-shirts about it.

I usually try to stop after 7 cups of coffee.

This is a serious topic. I produce actual facts pertaining to the issue and the responses I get are jokes and personal attacks. Why do you people persist on coming on to these forums with nothing to say? NOTHING. The "all skydivers are morons" stigma is hard to shake when people like yourselves are representing in these forums. Non-skydivers do read this stuff too and all they learn is that skydivers are idiots. No facts to argue a point, just making fun of people and ignoring EVIDENCE against their opinions. Keep it up. I don't even need to ARGUE my point, you guys are helping me with every word you type.

I'll play your game and pretend for a moment that he was afforded the opportunity to leave peacefully. Now, why again is he being asked to leave ?? No opinions here, just facts. I guess the cops were right, obviously he was trying to "incite a riot". PLEASE !!! Your logic is twisted. The fact still remains that, unless you are watching that video from a secret new angle, this man was NOT doing anything that should warrant arrest AND he was NOT asked to leave. This means that the officers were illegally arresting him and he has the RIGHT to resist. Don't talk about a topic you have no idea about, namely your OWN RIGHTS !

Because he was behaving like an asshole!!!
Believe it not, actions can have consequences.

Ask for facts and then claim my logic is twisted. What specifically are you talking about?

This is a lie.

I find your kind so curious. So-called Americans who blindly do what they are told and put their heads down in the face of persecution. I won't try to understand you. We are very different people. I stand for FREEDOM. True freedom that allows a guy to ask John Kerry REAL questions and not questions that are approved by his people. Andrew Meyer put that ass on the spot and it was not liked. So he was forcefully removed. ILLEGALLY, whether your small mind wants to understand that or not. IT IS NOT ILLEGAL TO ASK QUESTIONS IN A Q/A FORUM.

Your kind will always be force-fed bullshit as to why the gas prices are high, why we are at war, why other countries HATE us, why Americans are laughed at virtually everywhere in the world, why our healthcare sucks and many many other items. You will be fed this bullshit and you will NEVER question it. And you will be a lovely little controlled sheep. Just like they want you to be. George Bush LOST the election. John Kerry was a Democratic puppet who's job was to run against BUSH and lose. Your kind will never understand that. Andrew Meyer asked these questions. Why did Kerry not dispute an election that was 100% clearly tampered with? And then the kicker, was he a part of Skull and Bones? Which of course the two are related. Both Bush and Kerry are members of the Skull and Bones. And they were involved in a plot to keep Bush in the presidency. When Andrew Meyer asked these questions, the alarms went off and he was forcibly removed against the LAW. You sheep just keep on chewing the bullshit they feed you. The rest of us will fight the battles for freedom and rights for you.

Dumbass.

My advice: Take out the personal attack and instead add something about getting f'd up the ass and taking it. That's my special recipe for an effective rant.

He'll need to show his receipt for freedon at the checkpoint too. Otherwise the occifer will taser his ass. :P

I find it interesting too that there seems to be very few of us willing to make a stand...and disappointed that the cops feel they are on the front line against their own country.

The freedom receipt? LOL

I'm waiting for the taser crime wave to start. It's the ideal weapon for robbery, rape etc, and since it's not deadly, the crime is not as serious as it would be with a gun or other deadly weapon.

Open the safe! (tase the bank manager)
I said.... OPEN THE SAFE (tase him more)
Repeat until safe open.

Then we will see 'taser control'.

I'm not on the frontline against my own country, it does resemble a war though. Why else do I have to wear a bullet-resistant vest to work. I've been on the frontline other places, can't say I cared for it much.

By the way there is a new tazing video, a female who got tazed several times before and after being handcuffed. Some of you computer literate types may be able to make it clicky from liveleak.com, I can't.
Let's talk about that one, this one is getting kinda old.

I can appreciate the challenge you guys face and I don't agree with that one either...but it just sucks for us civvies to have to take the repercussions because of that either. Any altercation that involves cops is typically not a good situation....and most cops no longer have any level of patience or empathy to even begin to understand...they simply follow "the process"...

lemme check out the taze vid...

Exactly,
The kid actively resisted and was dealt with accordingly.
I'm sure the reason he was arrested was his grandstanding and not letting Mr. Kerry answer. At some point order has to be restored to the event. I'm no fan of John Kerry but this kid was WAY over the top.
I liked his frat-boy statement "don't taze me bro'".
All he had to do was comply initially and there would have been no problem.

There was 5 cops there, That's enough bodies to get the kid to do what they want without using accesive force.

You want a serious resonse? ok

Using all caps, calling names, and extra use of "!!!!!!" in every sentence has resulted in you being mocked by people on BOTH sides of this issue here.

If you want to be taken seriously, put down the caffeine.

Getting banned for personal attacks may let you feel like you are 'extreme' and different from others, good for you. To the rest of us, you'll just be considered an idiot and out of control.

You've put out some good info, focus on that and tone down the rant (you might consider it 'passionate' about the issue, most see it as ridiculously fanatical). Else be teased and mocked

STOP MOCKING ME, BRO - OWWEEEEEE, OWWWEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!

Read the whole thread dude, I addressed almost every aspect of police brutality the good, the bad, and the ugly. I admit there have been very ugly incidents, this is not one of them.

This isnt one of them? WHAT? With the number of cops there........they didnt need to use the tazer....I think they just got a kick out of it. Cops are no different then criminals...just protected by the law.

I guess they could lay on top of him WWF style, he complies after being tazed.
Again, he is flailing on the ground, it is not wise to stick ones head into a failing arm or leg (take my word on that one). After he is tazed he settles down, then numbers come into play.
If no tazer was present, then you would have to overcome his resistance by sheer force and numbers. The chance of injury is greatly increased for the suspect then.

Here is the deal....at that point the handcuffs were already on. He was handcuffed....THEN tazered. He aleady had 4 bodies holding him down. The cop was trigger happy.

aha!
It puts the lotion on...

While I'm not clear on the start...she was clearly out of control in the cruiser...but I also think there are some dynamics to citizenry being aprehended generally speaking...they panic, it's a scary situation if you've not experienced it before. The urge to fight or flee I think may be a normal reaction. Given the typical overwhelming force the police are required to use these days because of what they have to deal with...these incidents should not be all that surprising really.

I disagree,
In the long version I saw one cuff appeared to be on only one hand, the other arm was flailing. If you are relying on press reports, don't. Also there are several edited versions that go from the initial struggle directly to the tazing. I watched this right when it came out, long before the thread even started. I check liveleak.com daily for situations just like this, and use them for training purposes. Go back in my posts and you'll see the use of force continuum explained (some would say ad nauseum);)

This situation could have been very easily dealt with without accesive force. This kid wasnt a threat. He was loud...but he wasnt a threat.

You can't see what happens prior to the first zap, but I would venture to say it was warranted, the original call appeared to be a distrubance at a bar.
The other ones I would have to question, when she starts kicking the windows IMHO she is fair game. Again, after getting her out a second time I would have to question that.
I wasn't there so I'll say appears, but I would venture to say this officer has some 'splaining to do. But as I also stated before this incident didn't happen in vacuum, this woman has culpability as well.

Why is it fair game. I dont get it. She is not causing you any harm, and the car doesnt belong to you. She is no longer a threat.

Edited: by "you" I mean the police officer
