And this is just a figment of my imagination...:S:S:S:S

the Iranian regime continues to embrace suicide terrorism as an important component of its military doctrine. In order to promote suicide bombing and other terrorism, the regime's theoreticians have utilized religion both to recruit suicide bombers and to justify their actions. But as some factions within the Islamic Republic support the development of these so-called martyrdom brigades, their structure and activities suggest their purpose is not only to serve as a strategic asset in either deterring or striking at the West, but also to derail domestic attempts to dilute the Islamic Republic's revolutionary legacy.

According to an interview with Iran's Fars News Agency released on Abbasi's weblog, he has propagated haras-e moghaddas (sacred terror) at least since 2004. "The front of unbelief," Abbasi wrote, "is the front of the enemies of God and Muslims. Any deed which might instigate terror and horror among them is sacred and honorable."[4] On June 5, 2004, he spoke of how suicide operations could overcome superior military force: "In ‘deo-centric' thought, there is no need for military parity to face the enemy … Deo-centric man prepares himself for martyrdom while humanist man struggles to kill."[5]

There is no way I can prove MOST and you know it.. you want to play semantics cgames as you always do.. BUT.. if you are too obstinate to realize that a VERY LARGE number of the muslims in the world wish great harm to come to America./// and many of them danced in the streets on 9/11/.// then it is you who is willing to stuff your head in the sand and pray that nothing is going to happen.

BUT.. in poll after polll like this one... there is a statistically significant sample that thinks these attacks are justified.. and that is ACROSS the Islamic world.
You do not need to beat me over the head with a bomb to make me believe they dont want to live with us in peace..

http://people-press.org/reports/display.php3?ReportID=206

In the predominantly Muslim countries surveyed, anger toward the United States remains pervasive, although the level of hatred has eased somewhat and support for the war on terrorism has inched up. Osama bin Laden, however, is viewed favorably by large percentages in Pakistan (65%), Jordan (55%) and Morocco (45%). Even in Turkey, where bin Laden is highly unpopular, as many as 31% say that suicide attacks against Americans and other Westerners in Iraq are justifiable. Majorities in all four Muslim nations surveyed doubt the sincerity of the war on terrorism. Instead, most say it is an effort to control Mideast oil and to dominate the world.

In the past we have proved we can live in peace with other countries....I want to see the Islamic countries do the same and there is not much of a push by the so called moderates instead I think the seem to feel that this is the best way for them to get what they want... So... they have the option live in peace or they can all die as far as I am concerned.

>In the past we have proved we can live in peace with other countries....

Not in the past 50 years or so. I can think of five optional wars we participated in during that time. (War is the opposite of peace.) And now we are threatening war with at least one other.

Goes to show you... dont attack us and we will not roll over you..seems fairly

Korea...Hmm who attacked who here Bill??

Vietnam...the South East Asian War Games... we get to test our stuff against their stuff and make the military industial complex very happy.. but was the South attacking the North.. BZZZT no..the Norht felt they were reuniting their country and we supported the South in trying to stay a country.. no matter how screwed up and assinine they were `

Panama...Noriega... attacking the fabric of our society with drugs that he was helping to flow in.

Granada...come on.. thats not a real war...but it did stop the government there from doing what their people did not want... and it sure pissed off Castro

Afghanistan.. well we know how that is working out... this would have been the one that SHOULD have been the example to the world of bringing freedon to a country.... but alas no OIL for the NEO-CONS.. and we all know that the Shrub cant run anything.. he proved that by every company he ever ran into the ground.

Iraq.. stupidist thing the American People have EVER allowed some idiot from Texas to go do.

Then you list all the wars where we didn't live in peace with other countries.

>Hmm who attacked who here Bill??

When did Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, or Granada attack us? I'll give you Afghanistan; while they did not attack us, they sheltered a group that did.

>Iraq.. stupidist thing the American People have EVER allowed some
>idiot from Texas to go do.

No stupider than Vietnam, Korea or Granada. (Which is to say they were all pretty foolish.)

Shall I link you to a bit of Korean history Bill???

http://www.bbc.co.uk/history/worldwars/coldwar/korea_hickey_01.shtml

After several years of increasingly bloody frontier incidents along the 38th parallel, the Republic of Korea was invaded by the North Korean Peoples' Army on 25 June 1950. Despite earlier indications, the Pentagon was caught off-guard. As the North Koreans swept south, overwhelming all opposition, the US called on the Security Council to invoke the United Nations Charter and brand the North Koreans as aggressors. This was done and member states were called on to send in military assistance. The first American troops were then sent in to stiffen resistance against the invader.

And there there all those other countries that we have continuously maintained peaceful relations with. :P

Yes. Note that that does NOT read "the United States of America was invaded by the North Korean People's Army." A subtle, but important, difference.

Just curious, Bill. If you were on your way home from the DZ and you saw a fellow skydiver and friend getting beat up by 2 guys, would you stop and help him out or just keep on driving and think to yourself "I'm glad it isn't me getting the shit kicked out of me."

If you later heard another skydiver stopped to help, would you consider that skydiver a bully?

If I saw a friend of mine getting beat up, I would stop to help. I suspect most people would.

Nope.

And now a question for you:

If you saw a friend being beat up by a local gang, would you:

a) help your friend get out of there or

b) leave your friend there, hire some thugs and have them kill the gang's family?

Since I have a police baton stashed away in my truck, I'd roll the window down, hold it out the window and plunk as many of the bastards in the head as I drove by. That oughta give my friend a fighting chance. :P

Iran had NOTHING to do with 9-11

You know the 9/11 report mentions contacts between Iran and Al Queda. Just because they're Shia doesn't mean they haven't supported Sunni terrorists.

And the US had contacts with the USSR during the cold war, and funded the Contras, and entertained Yasser Arafat at Camp David..., SFW?

Well, it's moot since Bloomberg won't allow the visit. At least Ahmjd will get to see what some ordinary Americans think of him when he goes to Columbia. I understand some big protests are being planned.

(assuming we are talking Jungle rules here ie. no police to call to help out)

If the gang had a reputation of beating people up and I thought they would beat me and my family up and perhaps kill me and my family, for helping out my friend. I'd go after them with as much power and friends as I could muster.

BTW, I was refering to N.Korea attacking S. Korea.

Well said. And if he does 'lay a wreath for the terrorists' or do some other nonsense - he's digging his own grave.

Kind of an odd source for you isn't it? Or was that page just a convenient addition to the rampage you've been on recently?
Here's who they say they are. I just LOVE the first part:D

Many people send us emails asking who we are, what are our qualifications to speak on Islam, what is our statement of faith, etc.

Some say, that they love our site, and would like to recommend it to others, but cannot do so before they know who we are and what exactly we believe.

If you are one who seeks answers to these questions, we would like to ask you: What would you need these answers for? Why is the (usually acknowledged) quality of our material not enough for you?
