Kucinich questions Bush's mental health

Democratic presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich questioned President Bush's mental health in light of comments he made about a nuclear Iran precipitating World War III.

"I seriously believe we have to start asking questions about his mental health," Kucinich, an Ohio congressman, said in an interview with The Philadelphia Inquirer's editorial board on Tuesday. "There's something wrong. He does not seem to understand his words have real impact."

Too bad it's only a fringe candidate raising a real and very relevant issue.

Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.

No. Bush is not stupid. He would not be where he is if that was the case. Has he made mistakes? Of course. The fact that he is a terrible public speaker makes him an easy target.
The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help.

There's a strong correlation between his words and why he's always a fringe candidate.

That's because main stream candidates have to speak less clearly or run the risk of being unambiguous, thereby alienating potential campaign donors.

Riiiight :P

Well it certainly seems to me that the only candidates who are speaking concisely and laying out their true convictions are the ones who the media and the major donors seem to be ignoring.
I heard Hannity whining about how Hillary won't take a stance on anything yesterday. Besides wanting to pluck him in the forehead for being the tool that he is, I wanted to ask him why he thought she should quit with the double speak? She's in the lead.

Okay. Now look at the 2004 presidential race. Whether or not you liked Bush's message, doesn't change that it was clear and unambiguous.

Yes, he was clear, unambiguous. He was also wrong, had been proven wrong and was adhering to the notion that no matter how wrong he was he was not going to change his mind. Which brings us back to the OP:P

Oh, absolutely.
The nation's priorities were the war against terror and cutting taxes.

Except that it was about gay marriage. And flag burning. And what Kerry did on the swift boat. Because that was important. And it wasn't about Bush using the Air National Guard to stay out of the Ricebowl, and then barely showing up part-time for that, anyway. Because that wasn't important.

Clear.
Unambiguous.
:S

And while we're at it, Fair, Balanced and Unafraid.

Not being stupid does not often correlate having mental issues. In fact, most serial killers, most Hollywood stars, most homeless people are not stupid. But many of them have serious mental problems.
Bush is a megalomaniac. He's the "Decider." No matter what Congress or the House are gonna do on issue XXX, he'll veto it or "find a way to get the votes." He's king of the world in his own mind, and seems to have zero concern over our relations with other nations. In a global economy and social structure, that's insane/insanity, IMO.

Agree 100%. Intellect is not really the issue, it's about egocentric agenda regardless of what's right, good, fair, etc. He is the president of his contry, not the US. Now, let's examine tose who voted for him in 00 and then REALLY examine those who voted for him in 04; I think we might find some retardation :P

Speaking of megalomania...

Having met the man twice (spending a few hours with him the second time), I can tell you that he is in complete control of his faculties. Not only that, he is indeed quite intelligent as well.

I am still amazed at how scattered the attacks against our President are. They can't attack him on the economy, education, prescription drugs or even the war or foreign policy.

That leaves his critics with, "Well, he's dumb!" or "Bush is stupid!" or "He hates kids!" or "He's a retard!"

They cannot build a concise, measured, tactful argument against him so all they can do is try to insult him.

What a thankless job...
So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh
Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright
'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life
Make light!

Gee, if we're gonna go down *that* road (BTW, I'm not a Hillary supporter).

George W. Bush...
“I am mindful not only of preserving executive powers for myself, but for predecessors as well.”

"Well, I think if you say you're going to do something and don't do it, that's trustworthiness.”

"I am the right.”

"We don't believe in planners and deciders making the decisions on behalf of Americans.”

"This is an impressive crowd: the Have's and Have-more's. Some people call you the elites. I call you my base.”

"There ought to be limits to freedom. We're aware of this [web] site, and this guy is just a garbage man, that's all he is."

"They want the federal government controlling Social Security like it's some kind of federal program."

"I will never apologize for the United States of America - I don't care what the facts are."

"You're all going to hell." George W Bush joking about what he would say to Israeli Jews upon arriving in the Middle East.

"The world is more peaceful and more free under my leadership."

"You work three jobs? … Uniquely American, isn't it? I mean, that is fantastic that you're doing that." —to a divorced mother of three, Omaha, Nebraska.

And a bigger flip-flopper than Bush, and likely equal maniacal ego-driven candidate Mitt Romney, "This nation can't afford presidential leadership that comes in 57 varieties, ... We need a decisive president who stands his ground. We need George W. Bush.”

Let's not forget that Bush made essentially the same comment as Hillary did when subpoena'd for by the 9/11 commission, or how Bush responded when served a subpoena demanding documents on the fired US Attorneys, wiretapping documents, and the list goes on and on.

Bush has lost touch with reality (if he actually ever had it).
