So what? A strong and confident democratic nation, governed by the rule of law, can withstand - and, believe it or not, even give protection of law to - speech and literature which "incites hatred". For some reason, you Europeans have difficulty incorporating that final step into the core principles of your own modern nations. I will take that a step further: not only CAN a confident democratic nation do that, it MUST. In the long run, the nation, its democracy, its rule of law and its citizens are all strengthened by that, and not weakend, or even threatened.
