cloudseeker2001 0 #102 November 20, 2007 This girl I knew had a problem with a re-visiting peeping tom. She but boards around the house under all the windows. The boards had long nails in them sticking up. She covered them with a light layer of pine straw. It worked...twice. Evidently there was more than one peeping tom operating in the area. that is setting a trap and is a felony. But it would be a lot of fun and it would work wonders! Is that a real M60 in back? I want to know if the silencer for the MAC 10 is real? I just took another look....Is that an MP5 with a silencer too? Fun toys! JohnRich 4 #104 November 20, 2007 Quote And of course they'll be set off by all sorts of non-threatening movement ... neighbors or invited guests approaching, and yeah, random neighborhood animals. But I wouldn't expect them to have a "bad guys only" filter. Yes, but they become like the fable of "The boy who cried 'wolf!'". They turn your outside lights on so often just from normal stuff like wandering cats, that you tend to ignore it. And then someday it could be because of a real burglar, and you'll still be ignoring it, because you don't know the difference. You can't run for your gun or call the cops every time the lights come on. So mostly you just hope that it will scare someone away, who is up to no good. If it doesn't scare them away, you still need a "Plan B". That's a gun, to take care of yourself, while awaiting for the police to arrive.

I have a pepper spray device in my gun room, which if not deactivated when entering the room, fills the room with a pepper spray fog. That's to deter any burglar who kicks in that locked door. I don't consider that a booby-trap, since someone would have had to already break into my home to get that far, and it's a non-lethal deterrent.
