Neverminding the fact that running Wasilla pads a resume just slightly more than being on a high school yearbook committee

And what govt organizations has Obama run?

Quote

how do you add up 6 years as mayor and less than 2 years as governor to make them total 13 years?

1992-1996: City Council.

1996-2002: Mayor. While there she reduced her *own* salary.

2003-2004: Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission. She quit in 2004 over the ethics of some REPUBLICANS. She tried to get them to quit, they would not so she did. After she left she went after REPUBLICANS Randy Ruedrich (the party chair) and Gregg Renkes.

2006-? Governor of Alaska.

1992-1996 = 4 years
1996-2002 = 6 years
2006-2008 = 2 years

That's 12 years of elected office, 8 years as the head of a Government body.

Uh... You guys are sounding a tad more desparate every day.. with THIS amount of "experience" ... next thing you know.. the dog catcher will be in the Cabinet:S

DUDE.. I have been to Wasilla.. its got like 6000 people.. its a bedroom suburb of Anchorage at best.

. Lets see. from Wiki.. Notable people...good thing its alphabetical.. oterhwise the first on the list is a cartoonist... I think there is a message there.:ph34r:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wasilla,_Alaska

Chad Carpenter,[13] cartoonist and creator of the comic strip Tundra, which is self-syndicated to over 200 newspapers within the United States[14] and, since 2007, has been syndicated internationally by King Features Syndicate.[15]

April Flowers, female porn star and adult model, grew up in Wasilla.

Lyda Green, President of the Alaska Senate

Vic Kohring, a Wasilla legislator who was tried in the wide-ranging federal VECO corruption probe, and found guilty of bribery, conspiracy, and attempted extortion.[16]

Sarah Palin, Alaska Governor, 2008 Republican Vice Presidential designate, and a former mayor of Wasilla.

>DUDE.. I have been to Wasilla.. its got like 6000 people . . .

Yep. It's right up there with Barrow in terms of density. We watched a great bar-clearing brawl there one night right after a wedding. There were cops, parents, drunken best men, grooms throwing punches, cars rolling into trees . . . it was excellent entertainment. (And it never got dark!)

On the minus side, it's getting harder and harder to land out with all the development up there, and the mosquitoes are truly absurd. And Carol's DZ just closed, sadly.

Yep...I love all the comments about Alaska from folks who haven't spent any time there. :D To be fair though, Wasilla is a nice little town.

Hey, it was good experience for her to get those evil Congressional EARMARKS.

I see she is also convinced that global warming is a myth.

Thats OK. She's on Stage 1 denial. She'll get coached to move up to Stage 2 or 3 pretty quickly.

Maybe there is a future for RushMC...as her advisor on Global Warming....

>Palin while running the DZ.

Didn't think of that. Yeah, would be interesting to talk to them about it. I bet at least Carol shows up for one of the upcoming Perris bigways, so perhaps then.

You are right, some people are getting desperate.

Her experience is still more than the man you want as President. That says something about people priorities to me.

You are ASSUMING.. yet again... I know its been hard for you to keep up.. but...really.

I was waiting for WHO each of the candidates was going to choose for their running mates....because I dont think either one of the presidential candidates has a chance in hell of living thru a 4 year term...[:/]

Calling Sarah Palin qualified to run this country.. is a horrible joke.[:/][:/][:/]

How are you defining "experience"? Why should time on the city council of Wasilla count as a qualifcation for President of the US, but not time as a civil rights attorney or constitutional law professor?

Do you think experience is the only relevant factor, or should education also be considered?

Hey, it was good experience for her to get those evil Congressional EARMARKS. You mean like the 4.2M earmark Obama pushed for that was going to Biden's son?

I see she is also convinced that global warming is a myth.

She has that right too. On the same note since you brought it up, did you see the report on the lack of sun spots last month? You know, the very same type of happening that was linked to the last small ice ages?
