I feel bad for her and her family, but I think it's starting to help the Republican party. These douches on tv and in Hollywood run their mouths, obviously biased towards Obama. I don't care what they have to say in the first place. The rediculous favoritism just makes it worse.

When Nixon was asked in '72 why he was keeping Agnew on the ticket, he remarked, "Nobody would dare assassinate me." Was he joking? I don't think so. Mind you, he was paranoid to begin with, and he'd lost the 1960 election by a gnat's whisker to a guy who went on to be assassinated.

Segue to ca. 1990-ish, when people used to "joke" that Dan Quayle was better protection for George H. W. Bush's life than the Secret Service.
