There's a few things you didn't bother to say.

For example, the Afghan troops who were supposed to carry out the attack abandoned the U.S. special forces troops every night and went home. They weren't interested in a serious fight.

The special forces guys were few, and there was thought to be a defense force of 1,000 guarding OBL. So for them to do it alone, would have been a suicide mission, and one that would have failed.

They did get air strikes in anyway to bomb the cave, and succeeded in wounding OBL.

The administration got rid of all the generals who had a chance of actually running a war...Rummy and Cheney and Bush wanted yes men and they got them.

ITs called INCOMPETENCE.... the guy at the head of this administration has done the same bang up job in every business venture he got involved in...he has done well for himself...his family did well.. but time after time his daddies buddies bailed him out. The investors were left holding the bag each and every time...sound familiar???

Past performance is usually a pretty good indicator of how someone will behave in the present and the future. I think I pointed out how much of a fuckup he was.. 5 years ago...but those how voted for him seem to be in such severe denial... they are STILL thinking he is infallible....I tend to expect more of the people in charge.
