I got the attached in a chain email this morning, with the subject line "Plot to kidnap presidential candidate discovered". I know the man who forwarded it - he is a die-hard Republican and McCain supporter.

As to which questions, You haven't shown how Obama's comment was a cause of the incident. You haven't elaborated on which "policies" led to which "events" that led to this incident. You haven't said if the hatred of the KKK makes black people look bad, or if the hatred of a rapist makes his victim look bad. And those are just my questions!

I've called you intellectually dishonest, because that's what you're being. There's an example of it right there in the exact same sentance.

People aren't arguing with you on this thread because you don't support Obama, it's because you're being silly, clinging to an opinion that's unsupported by any form of evidence, and using the whole variety of rhetorical twists and turns to avoid having to directly address the reasons people are giving you about why you're being silly.

As a reference, look at Trent's reply - I'm pretty sure he doesn't openly support or praise Obama, but he's got the good sense to recognise that it had absolutely nothing to do with him.

Human nature. Often people invest a lot of themselves in their online persona, and take arguments and slights personally. That's true in almost any community, from the people at the DZ to the people online to the people at work. The cool thing about DZ.com is participation is 100% optional, and thus there's no real penalty for "bowing out" if online discussions get under your skin. That's definitely not true at work.

Interestingly enough, Ashley Todd used to be a Ron Paul supporter. In that instance, she sent an e-mail to the Ron Paul group saying her tires were slashed and that campaign paraphernalia had been stolen from her car because she supported Mr. Paul. I guess Huckabee policies caused that.
