klingeme 1 #4 November 6, 2008 For those ov you without a bible handy Proverbs 31:7: Let him drink, and forget his poverty, and remember his misery no more. 1 Thessalonians, 4:17: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 1 Timothy 4:1-4. 1: Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 2: Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; 3: Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. 4: For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:

BASE841 3 #25 November 7, 2008 My favorite is Numbers 22:28 "Then the LORD opened the mouth of the donkey, and she said to Balaam, "What have I done to you, that you have struck me these three times?" And what should be the next verse: "And Balaam replied, "Holy crap, a talking donkey!" A close second, Matthew 4:5 "Then the devil took him (Jesus) to the holy city and set him on the pinnacle of the temple and said to him, "If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down." (A nod to HWalter.) Yup, I've been tempted like that. Only was able to fight temptation because of funky winds. Also, makes me wonder what canopy he had.
