Obama must respond to Writ of Certiorari by December 1

Recommended Posts

Why, oh WHY did we ever buy this state from the French??????

Someone PLEASE remind me?

At least the French have good "whine". And cheese comes with it!

All we're left with is the foremost. (AND trailer parks, AND a BAD president, AND more tax liability from hurricane damage........ AND mad-cow disease, AND guys that think they they were destined to become Texans because there's SOOOOOO much good stuff coming from that state......)

Damn.................

That's because they weren't white.

Duh.

If I called you a cracker, you'd be good, too. But if a black man did, you'd be pissed.

Cracker. Cracker-ass cracker. Whitey craker mofo. Bitch-ass inbred whitey cracker sister-breeder........

See? Coming from a white guy, you're not so mad are you?

But if I told you I was black, it'd probably change, wouldn't it?

Quit quantifying things you will never be able to wrap your tiny little mind around.

It is, what it is. When you're black, then you may make comments about blacks.

Until then, you're just an opinion that doesn't matter. Or change whom is your PRESIDENT.

Personally?

I hope Barack responds to the "Writ of Certiorari " with his dick in one hand, and the Texas state flag in the other.

One has been used to create life. The other has been used to stifle it through opinionated idiocracy, and the resulting legislation from the pre-most mentioned in the precluding statement.

I'd wipe my ass on that one star, if your flag wasn't MADE IN CHINA.

> each other and they were fine with it.

Yep. And at Lost Praire, often someone will get in the plane and yell "Hey asshole!" and everyone would say "WHAT?"

But if you got pulled over by a cop, and he said "hey asshole" before giving you a ticket, I bet you'd be upset.

Context, my man, context.

That's ironic, coming from you, with your propensity to hurl personal insults instead of discussing the issues.

If pointing out things like outdated POVs, illogical thoughts, lies, spins, misinformation, and calling out the people who pass them on as factual now counts as a personal insult....well, color me guilty.

No, it's really more things like:
Does it come with a complementary tinfoil hat? ... Talk about sore losers. Nah, just losers.

I look forward to tuning in to the irrational and unlogical rantings of Hannity the Puppet

Oh look. A broken record.

Drop this bullshit. It's dumb and insulting.

Give me a second, I need to hold on to the wall here from how quick you are spinning this.

I guess seeing that level of maturity can be a bit shocking.

Get off your high horse

BUT HIS NAME RHYMES WITH OSAMA!!!!!!!

Have you read the application at all or are you going off NRA talking points again?

Does that tinfoil hat begin to smell after wearing it for this long?
And all of that is just from today. Is this your idea of being logical and factual? Do you want me to go back further, or are you embarrassed enough already?

heh, some of those were pretty good. Thanks for the reminder.

Just playing to my audience....let me remind you to look at the source of this thread and look around that website. But I'm sure your list of quotables would be much longer. Do you win the internets now?

I rarely expect to ever see a truly educated discuss in SC so I choose instead to have fun instead.

Nope, would not bother me at all. I don;t give them the power to offend me. If you don't play victim, words can not hurt you.

If you're proud of insulting other people, that doesn't say much about your personality.

And if you don't help raise the intellectual level by foregoing the insults, then you'll certainly never have a chance for a truly educated discussion.

The irony here is that any time I reply to one of your posts or posts you get interested in I try to emulate you. I must admit, it took you a bit longer to snap than I thought it would. Reflection is a fun little thing to do when people on the internet are acting outrageous and I tend to find it a far better avenue to get my point across. The trick is not making it obvious. But I've been doing this sort of thing since the 90s so I've had some practice. So, thanks for playing and think about how you replied to me.

I'll start:
- boy
- niggardly

What else?

Can we talk about fried chicken and watermelon, or would that be racist too?

Context John. It's all about the context. Even the most benign words are profoundly offensive if used within the context of what a reasonable adult would see as having the obvious intent of being offensive.

If a person refers to Obama as a "boy" then yes, that person is being intentionally racially offensive whether he wants to admit it or not, whether he attempt to explain it away as a reference to his "youth" or not. There is simply no way a reasonable adult can interpret it otherwise.

You're an adult. I can't believe a reasonable adult doesn't know it's offensive to call another adult black male a "boy." There's simply no other way to look at it.

Bull shit>:(

+1

Boy in reference to McCain is ok, but not Obama...bullshit describes it just about right.

Agreed, trying to take the word "boy" out of context is like Palin trying to take the lipstick comment as an insult. Calling someone your "boy" isn't racist in any way, and if someone sees it as that than they need to pull their damn head out of their ass. I call people bro all the time, white and black, whether I am friends with them or not, and no one has ever made an issue out of it.....why?????.........because its just another damn word. There is no out of context to the word "boy" unless someone is looking for something to be insulted about because they have nothing to contribute to the conversation/debate at hand.

I've spent plenty of time in the LA area and I don't change the way I take because of where I am. I lived in the south for 5 years and nobody was offended by the way I talk. I have a handul of black co-workers, one of which has zero tolerance for racist comments and he has no issue with the way I talk, and yes I've said boy and bro around him, even to him. Get off your damn high horse and quit trying to make issues out of nothing. The original statement was merely pointing out the Obama was the favored candidate of the person he replied to, getting offended and getting whiny about it is about as valid as someone getting offended at "you people". It's ridiculous.

Gosh, all this race-mongering over innocent usage of the English language sure is fun. It's going to be an entertaining next four years watching you over-sensitive Obama grammar cops try to eliminate certain words from the common language.

While referring to a middle-aged black man as "boy" may be common in your household, and possibly even common in your regional vernacular, I'm happy to report that, in the US as a whole, it's not nearly as common as it once was.

There are multiple ways to handle someone like you on the internet and I choose a path that was very effective in getting my point across. You may not respect the method considering you were the victim of it. But it worked. Go back and look at how you finally responded to you own style of postings. My point was never to get you to like me or my opinions, so I don't really care if you like what I did. As I said before, I just played to the audience, which was you. You claim you want an honest discussion on topics and I say that you have an agenda. You don't hear the other side and you have beat the same topics to death for years with the same exact rhetoric and you get insulting when someone pushes back hard. I had to show you what it was like dealing with yourself here and it worked.

what are we supposed to do, shut our mouths and sit in a corner or would that be considered offensive also?

That's exactly what the liberals want - if they can eliminate criticism by calling people racists, so be it.

Just wait till they get their hands on implementing the "fairness doctrine"...

You know, I got to thinking that there is another thread here that condems a city making a company remove a bill board. They say it is against free speech. They whine that it should be illegal cause you cant tell people what to think.

Then there is this thread. Calling someone a racist is doint the exact same thing they condem in another thread.

And to you all that will say I am wrong. Only to the point that you think people should be able to put up a sign that offends cause it is protected. Yet you want to control thought and what people say. Hmm, You want it both ways as long as YOU can control the words, thought and debate. Pick a side. Cant have it both way even if you want to

Interesting, dont you think?

So you think "boy" and "nigger" are similar in this regard.
John, I rest my case.

That quote didn't come from me.

It would appear that in your zeal to brand me as a racist, you have become blind to the facts. Sort of just like what racists do. How ironic.

Constantly picking (cherry picking) lines in a post is a popular past time for some here.

I think context was mentioned earlier if I remember correctly.:S

Then there is the pattern of severe and rather unhealthy obsession to tear the man down outside of political issues.

That's ironic, coming from you, with your propensity to hurl personal insults instead of discussing the issues.

I never said you were racist btw. I said your pattern of posting and your overall attitude makes the assumption easier and I can see how someone could jump to that conclusion. But there I go again pointing out the obvious. I'm sure you will claim that is a PA as well.

Speaking of which, did anyone else see what I found on the website from the OP? It's a whackjob website guys. We probably gave it more traffic in the last week than it's ever had.

Maybe not a PA but steriotyping. Something your side likes to condem too.

Another example of how lack of principaled positions result is someone wanting it both ways, depending on what side they are on the day........

I think a bit of context needs to be clarified Dave.
"Your boy" or "my boy" are a LOT different than the simple "boy".
That bit of context difference is where I could see it would be perceived as racist.
I hear all the guys at work on the fantasy football league constantly refer to a football player as being "my boy".
