An Open Letter to Our New President

Uh, it's all pork. That's basically what an economic stimulus package is - pork that gets industry restarted more rapidly.

So you are saying you think it's a good bill and a good way of spending tax money we do not have?
That the barry-aid package targets areas for speedy economic rebuilding of housing markets and jobs? I don't think it will do any of those. I believe it will cause Carter era inflation and unemployment.

Where the hell were you when we we borrowing trillions to engage in a premeditated war of aggression against Iraq?
NOW it is a bad idea to borrow money to spend AT HOME?

Doesn't their hypocracy EVER become evident to these folks?

The war on the middle class started with the election of Raygunz. Righties have done a fine job of really screwing up the country. Clinton was stymied by the righties and was impeached on a totally bullshit premise.
Time for the Dems to run things for a while. You righties shouted down any and all oppostion, up to and including plans to rewrite the rules to prevent filibustering. Now that the rescums are the minority, they have used and abused filibustering to obstruct any progress, then blamed the leadership for the lack of progress. COMPLETE SCUMBAGS!!! And the gullible sheep fall right in line and blame the leadership for the lack of progress, instead of the obstructionists.

You righties can suck it up and deal with the new reality. Your policies have put us in the situation we are in. Get the fuck out of the way while those that have a clue how to run a government ACTUALLY DO IT!

The mantra for the righties and the Rescums is that goverment is bad, and the source of all evil. When they are in power, they hate government, so they do a REALLY shitty job. It is left to the Dems to come in and fix what the rescums so badly broke.

The gall to post a bullshit "letter" like this, on their own web site, is impressive. And the sheep eat it up, hook, line, and sinker. It seems that the leaders of the GOP are fully aware of just how gullible their supporters are. If PT Barnum were alive today, I am sure he would be impressed.

He won, get over it.:S

Sure thing, just like how y'all "got over it" in 2000 and 2004.

except that the margin of victory was so great that there was no question to the winner. In 2000, it was well within the margin of error in counting votes, and it was only a bit better in 2004.

Now it's harder to say who is less popular - Gore or Bush. One failed to win riding the coattails of a popular president, the other allowed his party to lose to a junior minority candidate.

no more gullible than the Barry aid drinking zombies that voted a radical socialist with a racist wife into office.

Must be why he's nominated two Republicans to his cabinet.

it's called covering your ass, incase he fails he wants the rep party to look bad also. just because he appointed a couple republicans doesn't mean he isn't a socialist.

if i remember rightly the dems controled congress for the last 2 years and could have block almost anything they wanted, but they didn't. they did also vote for the war in Iraq.

this IS a 2 party fuck up and Obama is trying to continue making it look like that.

Yea, but Bush was a half wit war mongering man who believed that God was telling him to invade Iraq:S

I have some frightening news for you…deficit spending does not create wealth. For every dollar that is borrowed interest at an inflated rate will need to be re-paid. This type of spending is meant only to “freeze” an economic disaster, NOT fix it. I would encourage you to show me what percentage of the bailout $ actually finds its way into sectors that create wealth NOT act as a black hole for it! History repeats itself…this is nothing more than The New Deal II. Maybe I have just been a better student of history but unemployment rates never got below 14% during the spending blitz of Roosevelt’s time in office. Its no secret that The New Deal kept America in the depression longer rather than it would have without.
Gently pushing comfort zones since 1976...

Of course. At best it hastens the next upswing of the economy.

I agree. Spending more than you take in is bad. It's good to see republicans finally waking up to this.
