Darius11 12 #9 February 11, 2009 Quote Sounds like most of the "look what Bush/the Republicans did" threads from the last several years - I guess turnabout really IS fair play, isn't it? Come on who in their right mind can compare the two. Bush 8 years, inherited the biggest surplus in US history, and it has all gotten worst. Obama has been in office for 3 weeks, and has inherited the worst deficit, and multiple problem each bigger then the other. How can you take your self seriously if you think he deserves the same criticism as bush? Does the concept of facts and actual events mean any thing? Or is just choose a side regardless of the truth, or rational thought? I don’t get it. There are plenty of reasons to criticize the Bush administration, how one can compare the two is just crazy. Is your loyalty to your party more important then your loyalty to your country? That’s not just a question for you but for every one.I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
billvon 2,994 #10 February 11, 2009 It's fun to watch the more extreme right wingers get into screaming fits of rage. "Obama is going to RAISE TAXES! Oh my God! What a fascist! Wait - I just heard something worse! The stimulus plan CUTS TAXES! What a socialist asshole scumbag! Where's Hannity? Where's Rush? WHY ISN'T THE MEDIA REPORTING THIS? I can't scream any louder!" The worst part for me personally is the respect I lose for the people who are screaming. You can see why bush was criticized there are ledgidimet reasons, many of them. To think that one would assume all the criticized Bush received was simply because he was a republican is insane. Now when I see they try to match the same anger that bush generated; towards Obama who has been president for 3 weeks I just lose all respect. It simply confirms that that some do not live in reality, and they do not use facts to form an opinion. They have takin an oath to a master who has failed them miserably. I always wonder is there ever a point where someone like Hannity (or people who share his opinion) looks in the mirror and realizes he is full of shit?I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

normiss 801 #13 February 11, 2009 You've not been paying attention then. The media of all places was reporting today how over flooded DC has been with public outcry. Hundreds of calls per day to the politician's offices. Why do you think Obama has to personally hit the road to sell this thing. AGAIN?!!!

idrankwhat 0 #20 February 12, 2009 QuoteI'm not offended at all. Disappointed? Yes If I disappoint, I apologize however I do have one question. Here in Virginia, nearly all of the Chinese restaurants (at least the US version of Chinese food) seem to be located in close proximity to a pet store. Does this seem to be the case elsewhere? If so, then that might explain the running jokes. Some folks here at work refer to the local Chinese restaurant as "puppy hut". Of course that's not appropriate. Now if it were a Korean restaurant that might be a different story. I hear gaegogi burgers are quite tasty. Nevertheless, I'll stick with the bulgogi.
