Yep. And it's exactly why the little pussy never goes anywhere he's not in complete control of the microphones or the audience.

Kind of like Obama and his teleprompter huh..........

If you believe that Obama can't speak without a TelePrompter, you're living in Fantasyland.

On the other hand, show me where Limbaugh is willing to go to any venue he's not in complete control of. Show me any recent example of Limbaugh putting himself in front of a crowd made up of random people, some of which are hostile to him, like Obama did a few weeks ago.

You really got a hard on for this guy dont you:D

But in any event, I remember the town hall meeting where he bummbled and fumbled and had not been without hit tp (for the most part) since.:D

Ya, the great thinking on his feet orator.

And he SUCKS as a bowler. SUCKS.

The desperation now coming out of the far right is like the winner of an ugly dog & cat contest; just adorably pathetic.

There IS desperation alright, but it aint coming from the right!:D:D

Well, that's OK. Just don't criticize Limbaugh! I hear you can lose your job over that.

Limbaugh is as much of a fucking idiot as Olberman and Matthews.

Yep. With Obama's popularity over double Bush's, with Congress's approval ratings on the rise, with the GOP's approval ratings a bit below that of Communist China, with the GOP's only recognizable political position as "NO" and with a bombastic loudmouthed entertainer as de facto leader of the Republican party - it's the democrats who are 'desperate.'

Glad you think your party is doing so well! No need for change there.

You take that back or he won't let you kiss his ring, and you will be out of the Republican party faster than you can say "I hope he fails!"

Just look at what happened to the head of the RNC when he dissed Limbaugh. He's been asked to resign several times, and his days are numbered.

Are you seriously bagging on Obama for his oratory skills? Seriously?
He is, without a doubt and by virtually any standard you want to go by, the best speaker that has held that position for over 24 years.

You don't put Bill Clinton in the Excellent Orator category? I sure do.
I'll clarify: Reagan was, and Obama is, superb at delivering scripted speeches. Clinton is very good at that, maybe a step below superb.

At genuinely extemporaneous speech, Bill Clinton has almost no rival. Obama is not bad extemporaneously, but his delivery can be stilted; it needs work. Reagan wasn't very good at speaking to an audience extemporaneously, which he did only rarely - because, frankly, he just didn't have the intellectual sharpness or fund of facts to do so. But at scripted speech - Reagan was a master.

You see, you like to live by polls and popularity. I think principle is better.

Bush had principles whether you agreed with him or not. Obama just wants to advance a socialist type agenda and be liked at the same time.

I could give two squirts of piss about popularity. You on the other hand love to bring it up regularly.

See the difference?

As for my party? MY party has not been around since before Clinton.

I dont identify with party. Principle means more to me

Clinton was and still is the best polition ever (in my life time). The man could speak. Obama is less than 3rd chair behind him. Even when scripted. Not even close off the cuff.

His "socialist agenda" that you imagine is also a principle, whether you like it or not. And it looks like he's not going to give up just because Rush Limbaugh wants him to fail. Good for him.

>I could give two squirts of piss about popularity.

You only give "two squirts" when your side is losing. You seem to like polls quite a bit when they support your side! (RushMC, August: "In a Gallup Poll conducted this month, just 14% of Americans said they approved of the way Congress was doing its job.")

>See the difference?

Yep. Things are looking grim for Limbaugh's party, so suddenly you don't care about polls. I have zero doubt that if Obama's popularity drops into the 30's you will be posting it once a week.

Maybe, but if he feels he is loosing popular opinion he will turn just as Clinton did.

As for Limbaughs party? You can only dream. His party has been gone as long as mine. And you can not show me where I have changed my position based on polls.

Sorry I struck nerve.

Ok, and his socilaist agenda is not what the US became great under. If advanced we will decend into crap much like the countries across the pond.

Again you post poll numbers. Good for you. When winning or loosing I dont change my opinons. Many others can not say that.

Smile while you can. Have fun while you can. You love big gov pushing your ideals since you cant get it done any other way.
I will not change my positions

The US became "great" twice.

The first time was when the industrial revolution first kicked in. Mostly fueled on the backs of cheap labor and untapped natural resources.

The second time was just after WWII. Mostly because of an influx of cheap labor returning from the war and the fact that this country had been untouched by its ravages. While other countries were struggling to rebuild, we were producing the products necessary for them to do it.

We can not simply apply what worked in the past because conditions have changed too greatly.

Hey Bill

Here is a great role model for your man.

CHAVEZ CALLS ON OBAMA TO FOLLOW PATH OF SOCIALISM
Fri Mar 06 2009 17:13:48 ET

Caracas - Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez on Friday called upon US President Barack Obama to follow the path to socialism, which he termed as the "only" way out of the global recession. "Come with us, align yourself, come with us on the road to socialism. This is the only path. Imagine a socialist revolution in the United States," Chavez told a group of workers in the southern Venezuelan state of Bolivar.

The controversial Venezuelan leader, who taunted the United States as a source of capitalistic evil under former president George W Bush, added that the United States needs a leader who can take it to a "higher" destiny and bring it out of "the sad role that it has been given, as a murderous, attacking power that is hated all around the world."

Chavez said that people are calling Obama a "socialist" for the measures of state intervention he is taking to counter the crisis, so it would not be too far-fetched to suggest that he might join the project of "21st century socialism" that the Venezuelan leader is heading.

"Nothing is impossible. Who would have thought in the 1980s that the Soviet Union would disappear? No one," he said.

"That murderous, genocidal empire has to end, and some day there has to come a leader ... who interprets the best of a people who also include human beings who suffer, endure, weep and laugh," the outspoken Chavez said.

>As for Limbaughs party? You can only dream.

Apparently, so can the RNC chairman, who apologized publicly to Limbaugh.

>And you can not show me where I have changed my position based on polls.

I didn't claim you changed your position. I was merely amused that you claim that you "give two squirts of piss about popularity" when indeed you care about it a great deal when it helps you out. You diss polls when they are going against you and post them regularly when they are going for you.

But hey, that's what Speaker's Corner is for.

>Smile while you can.

Why thank you! Speaker's Corner often does that for me.

>You love big gov pushing your ideals since you cant get it done any other way.

Actually I don't, but I don't expect you to be able to see anything other than "he disagrees with me so he must be a loser Obama-worshiping pro-socialism democrat."

>I will not change my positions.

I have no doubt that you will stick by them no matter what happens.

But in reality, you again prove you get your info from some short sighted Limbaugh attacking 2nd rate website. But that is ok. I expect that:D

Yep. And it's exactly why the little pussy never goes anywhere he's not in complete control of the microphones or the audience.

Rush Limbaugh has challenged President Obama to debate the issues. Since Obama and others in the administration have gone out of their way to denounce him, this would be the perfect oportunity to settle it, once and for all. AAHHH, but the administration is conspicuously quiet about a debate. Yeah, there's a pussy in our midst.........
The forecast is mostly sunny with occasional beer.

Yeah, I saw that clip. You're not exactly giving the full story.

What Limbaugh said was that he is challenging Omaba to appear on his show.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mlALy8tcJqk

That's not going to happen for a variety of reasons none of the least of which is Obama isn't going to provide Limbaugh a specific ratings boost like that. Also, it in no way changes what I said, that Limbaugh will never go anywhere he's not in complete control of the microphones or audience.

Limbaugh is a great big pussy when it comes to this control issue. Please, I challenge you to show me differently.

Edited to add: Whoops, I guess I've contradicted myself. In one post I called him a "little pussy" and in another a called him a "great big pussy". I simply had not made up my mind yet. My bad. From now on it will be "great big pussy".

Why would Obama be concerned with a ratings boost for Limbaugh? He's above that, isn't he? While I see your point about Limbaugh controling his venues, Obama could score some fantastic points by saying "you know, I've been giving Rush a tough time, so rather than go on the show, as Rush suggests, I'll debate him in an open forum." But it ain't gonna happen, because Obama would get his ass handed to him. And he knows it. And all Rush would get is a DVD set.
