BDashe 0 #3 March 11, 2009 add interest, what is it then? Glad we put so much thought into all that spending, clearly all politicians are very well versed on the 8500+ earmarks on the most recent one... must have their doctorate on the first couple that were larger in spending seeing how they had a whole month and a half to pass it all. Just like they were experts on sarbaines-oxley and the patriot act. Geniuses... all of em. nothing like scared reactionary politicians to run the country. 'Hurry do something so we can go yell our rhetoric again and get votes!' I just wish either side could put SOME thought into leading our country rather than just doing shit to do it...So there I was... I didn't forget congress, I personally blame them, they gave the bills to the president to sign.If Obama signs this pork filled waste of our money today and says he is not to blame for it then i gues Bush is not to blame for what he signed. But Obam is set to talk to congress today about responsibilty and earmsrks right after he signs this bill full of earmarks an irresponsibilty.

I tend to think it is the fault of those that elected them and the fault of those that think the rules should be made so that life takes little effort. We have built a society where consumerism is king, where everyone thinks they have a right to everything but a lot think they shouldn't have to work so hard at it, where looking good is more important than generating results. What that gets you is everyone shopping at Wal-Mart and buying cheap throwaway bullshit products on way too easy credit, everyone gets to own some shitbox of a house made of vinyl and waferboard, schools that are more concerned with producing the next generation of orderly little shopaholic drones, etc etc. Anybody that is surprised for us having arrived at this particular flavor of circumstances has had their head in the sand." . . . the lust for power can be just as completely satisfied by suggesting people into loving their servitude as by flogging them and kicking them into obedience." -- Aldous Huxley

We all know it hasn't been spent in 6 weeks. That wouldn't make any sense. We need to wait until next year to stimulate the economy. Please don't dent the planet.
