LongWayToFall 0 #76 May 29, 2009 Ah I see it now. Did you bend it while it was installed or no? I have the technique down with a screwdriver lifting it up and onto the bho, but if it increases reliability I am on top of it.

TomAiello 26 #78 June 8, 2009 Have you thought about filing the Form 1 and shortening the barrel? I was considering doing that with mine, but I haven't gotten around to it.-- Tom Aiello Tom@SnakeRiverBASE.com SnakeRiverBASE.com

TomAiello 26 #81 June 8, 2009 QuoteTony Rumore makes a very nice Saiga. Yes, but his waits are insane. The Red Stick ones aren't half bad, and they're available much more quickly.-- Tom Aiello Tom@SnakeRiverBASE.com SnakeRiverBASE.com
ChileRelleno 0 #82 June 9, 2009 Save a lot of money and time, do the work yourself. The only things I'd have done buy a gunsmith would be either internal/external barrel threading and shortening of the gas block. I could do threading myself, rent the tap/die, but having a local smith do it means my having no chance of personally fucking it up. The gas block, that requires a some decent presses to do easily. Then again, the gas block does not have to be shortened. ChileRelleno-Rodriguez Bro#414 Hellfish#511,MuffBro#3532,AnvilBro#9, D24868
TomAiello 26 #83 June 9, 2009 How much did you spend converting yours? I think the Red Stick ones cost about $1400-$1500 new. I'm not saying you're wrong, and I actually think there's a lot of value in DIY for learning the gun inside and out, but there are still people (like me, frequently) who have more money than time on most days.-- Tom Aiello Tom@SnakeRiverBASE.com SnakeRiverBASE.com
