lawrocket 3 #1 April 22, 2009 He was only 41 years old. Details are sketchy but it appears that the Fairfax police believe it is suicide. Kellerman assumed the CFO position in 2008. I don't know if he was in some criminal legal trouble. But there has been some tremendous pressure on these execs. A human face. A young guy. My wife is hotter than your wife. BIGUN 1,318 #4 April 22, 2009 QuoteMr. Kellermann had been with Freddie Mac for 16 years, and reported to the chief executive, according to a profile on the company’s Web site. He was responsible for Freddie Mac’s financial reporting, capital oversight, and compliance with federal oversight requirements, and also oversaw the annual budgeting and financial planning. Before becoming chief financial officer, Mr. Kellermann had served as senior vice president, corporate controller and principal accounting officer. He was a graduate of the University of Michigan and a volunteer board member of the D.C. Coalition for the Homeless. Regulators with the Securities and Exchange Commission and Department of Justice have been interviewing Freddie Mac officials about possible accounting violations and other topics, the company disclosed in March. It is not known if Mr. Kellermann was one of those interviewed. The company recently disclosed in a public filing that in September it received a federal grand jury subpoena seeking documents concerning the company’s accounting, disclosure and corporate-governance practices. The investigation is being overseen by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Virginia. Freddie Mac has said it is "cooperating fully in these matters." http://www.nytimes.com/2009/04/23/business/23freddie.html?emNobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard. lawrocket 3 #12 April 23, 2009 Conscience? Tell that to his six year-old daughter. Justice? This guy was apointed CFO in September, 2008. Perhaps he was in on shady dealings - we don't know. Perhaps merely the stress of trying to right this ship in the midst of public hatred got to be too much. I don't have much respect for the guy. But I feel for his wife and especially his little girl. Try telling it to her face that he did the honorable thing. Go tell her it was karma for the evils of her dad. Did you tell Mujie it was karma when Rob did it? What about JP's twins? It's not about respect for the dead - their pain is over. Those they left behind? Their pain has just begun. My wife is hotter than your wife.

I suspect the good councillor does not harbor the same amount of disdain and loathing for all of the pond scum. I would venture that this one left behind a whole lot of loot that will molify the survivors. Probably far better than those who are left with nothing by the take from the little people to enrich themselves as law enforcement closes in on some of the theives who set this recession in motion. lawrocket 3 #19 April 23, 2009 So all blame is to this guy. The white collar crooks are more culpable than the blue collar ones. I see. lawrocket 3 #21 April 23, 2009 I have. Banks--->borrowers Some borrowers--->banks. Other borrowers--->poof. Banks had no business lending to certain borrowers. Certain borrowers had no business borrowing from banks. It worked fine and executives got bonuses, real estate and loan brokers got commissions. People got houses. Big houses. Are these massive losses due to executive bonuses? No - unserviceable mortgage debt. 100,000 people defaulting on 100k each is much less nasty than an exec getting a million dollar bonus for making the loans. Did Madoff make off with the money of people who sought a safe investment (fuck no. They knew he was up to no good - they just thought he was insider trading.). I spray my gun of blame everywhere - myself included. Not just at white collar folks. My wife is hotter than your wife.

carmenc 0 #23 April 23, 2009 QuoteSo all blame is to this guy. The white collar crooks are more culpable than the blue collar ones. I see. ? White collar crooks generally make blue collar ones look like rank amateurs in the amount they steal - think Madoff, think Ken Lay. Not only that, white collar crooks usually get minimal sentences and sent to minimum security "country club" prisons.
lawrocket 3 #24 April 23, 2009 True. The blue collar crooks who took $400k to buy a house and didn't repay it didn't do anythong wrong. They just didn't pay it back. I have a hard time believing that the economy collapsed under the weight of executive bonuses. I have an easier time believing that the economy suffered as a result of failure of liquidity because of the grand scale of persons who failed to make the monthly strokes. As I said, the investment banks are not without fault. But the $2-4 trillion in defaults by the innocent borrowers probably has something substantial to do with it. My wife is hotter than your wife.
